Default HPI / Hot Bodies Gumball world spec tires

I am thinking of getting back into club touring car racing, and have decided to never mount another set of tires again. I have read that RP-30's are non-existant these days.

Has anyone used the HPI Hot Bodies Gumball Work Spec tire?

Any good.

Seems they are the only choice besides Sorex Speedmind premounts that are easy to get.

they arnt the best tyre in the world. Sorex tyres are a lot better. or you could try the Sweep tyre, they are just as good and are cheaper

They work pretty decent for parking lots. Better than you'd think...especially for $20 a set. If you want to try some out, PM me. I have a bunch here from the HB/HPI races.

I bought a set the other day, and they seem to have a weird insert in them, no airgap, just full of squish. I know they are the spec tire in the HB series at Bending Corners, was hoping to run the on my TC5 at club races there. Maybe not the best choice.

Any more feedback on these tires?

Default R Gumballs same as S Compound??

an old thread but appropriate place for my ?

Are the Hot Bodies Gumballs the same as the S Compound Racing tire?????

I bought some S Compounds as they are the only mounted tire I can get through my LHS (Tower/Horizon). Everything I've read states that Gumballs are garbage, S compounds worked good for me but what do I know Wanting to support my LHS especially since I have started a new club but if Jaco's are always out of stock and I can't get Sweeps or Sorex....

I want to have a spec tire for TC AND want to support my LHS so I would like to get some opinions on the HB S Compounds.

Thanks
