Default LRP IPC V7.1 Digital Pro Speed Control

What is the best setup of the LRP V7.1 for stock and modified?

The case can be protected (I think) and why do they burn? Did you ever have an LRP?

yes I have had two of them. The cases on both of them broke open. That is why they are coming out with new versions of them but I also didn't have very good luck with the company fixing them. They are very slow and rude. And as far as burning up. if the inside comes out of the case there are tons of things on the car for it to short out on. Not saying it will short out. But the case will come apart on you the first time you hit something hard.

Yep they come apart from time to time. But not THAT easy... Mine haven't shortend. Besides a small drop of glue prevent it from open up accidently.

Setup fot stock? Depends on traction. If you got plenty of traction, dont even consider current limiting. Personally I prefer to disable the auto brake, since a stock motor in it self brakes a lot.

I had a few LRPs. I put the sticker aroudn the seam like they say and never came open and always worked. I sold them though as I like the GT7 beter.

Hey Raikonnen,

I never had any problems with the 7.1 except for the case coming apart - just put some tape around the case to prevent this.

For Stock try the 50A or 65A Chip.

I use mine on 50A (3) for stock

Hope this helps.

Is there any other guys who have experience with the LRP V7.1? How can you get the best punch for a Stock Motor?

It's made for modified, so there's only a few things to do:

1: Set it for maximum current, that is, no limiter. Remove the chip. If you dont want the hole from the chip, use the 120 A limiter, which wont limit a stock motor.

2: If your TX is programmable, set the throttle curve with a little off-set, that is, so the starting current is a little higher. On my KO Presto, I've set it for +20 (the range is 0-100, maybe 120).

This way it works fine for me.

The V7.1 also has a "jump start" feature. Before the start of the race hold the brake on and count to 10. The next time you pull the throttle it will go to 100% with only 50% of the throttle pull. First time you back off it shuts the feature off until you go thru the 10 count deal again. Sometimes this will give you a little edge getting off the line.
