wow they weren't kidding when they said limited edition!

according to towerhobbies its discontinued already!? it was released in June 2008!

I think discontinued at Tower not discontinued for Tamiya.

I found pics of the evo 6 by mistake last week and i was gonna post them for you but now I cant find them,but I havent gave up the search!

what were some changes? it is already half 416. other then fixing the ability to gear it (one piece top deck??) not sure what other changes it would really have.

also don't they already have a lower end kit called an "evo VI"?

yes they may have a lower end ,this car had a different motor mount to allow easier mounting it also had individual a arm mounts kinda like the xray or corally and a few little changes

I knew it, so they discontinued the LE kit for the new Evo 6. Man its so hard to keep up with tamiya and theyre new kits every year.

Ran the car last night for the first time. Didn't get much track time before racing started so not much feedback. No broken or bent parts but I didn't crash much either. Car handled great after I remembered I had my spool in there and switched to a one-way. Ooops . Car was a bit slow b/c Im still trying to figure out the gearing with the new RS software. Going to try to get out to the track on Monday for some practice and should have a better idea then on the car.

Im definately interested in a one piece top deck that makes gearing easier.

ive completed the one piece upper deck drawing. just gotta send it off. BUT i did make that one change where the opening for the spur gear is 3-4mm smaller. so im thinking 90T is the biggest spur you can use. ill be posting on here once i get my prototype and try it out.

how many center support posts did you run on your car?

I run just the one in the middle. Doesn't the kit only come with one?

I'm using 82/52, the only change i have made is 2 mm spacers to lift the rear top deck. I was planning to make some 2mm carbon spacers with the same shape of the rear top deck, but I think i will wait for the release of the Evo 6.

I keep stripping the rear uprights so I'm thinking about getting the aluminum ones. Anyone had any experience with the Square ones? I looked at the Tamiya TB-03D ones but they have 1 degree toe. I assume I can offset that toe by swapping out suspension mounts? Thanks.

I think Tamiya makes soem aluminum rear uprights now.

I have some play in my shaft (that doesn't sound right). Anyways, it vibrates quite a bit, anyone else have that problem? Seems at both the front and rear bulkhead there is some play and its not isolated at any one spot. The Bearing in the bulkhead has some play, the aluminum in the bearing has some play and the cup for the shaft has some play. All together it results in about 1mm movement up and down at the end of the cups for the shaft.
