Picked up my R9-F on Friday. Looks sweet. Can't wait to get the paint on and hit the track. Oh, my track isn't onroad carpet till Aug. Guess I'll have to wait.

Dale, the wing doesn't have the markings to cut out those 2 notches on the top of the spill plates. Is this an "older" version?

I cant tell if you're being serious or sarcastic Dale? Seeing as how you named the body R9, and I would say that front end, the grill specifically, bears a strong resemblance to this:

And I'll be damned if these arent your tail lights:

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic- seriously. I just posed 2 simple questions: Has Audi ever produced or sold an R9? It doesn't seem like it. Google's got a bunch of R9's listed - but I have yet to see one offered by Audi. Now, the R8 coupe and the R10 race car - that's a different story (with different numbers)

In regard to the Infinity tail light question - well...... guess your damned. Sorry . They are similar (very common in the world of automotive design) but not the same. The inside angles are the opposite and outside edges are different as well.

Was I inspired by an assortment of different brands? Yes - absolutely. Guess I'm just gettin' lazy in my old age.

Looks like my
2007 Hyundai Sonata! Take off the back doors and it looks like the Genesis

My car isn't quite that black, its midnight blue.

Dale,

On my Sonata, there is that ridge line on the hood. Then also ridge lines near the edge of the roof. Are those lines to control airflow and create stablility?

I noticed that your hood also had the ridges, but not the roof.

I would like to see a R8 come out. The full size car looks great. It would be interesting to see if the r8 works on rubber.

The funny thing is, ING Racing did a Hyundai EF Sonata body in 200mm, the old rounder headlight model.
