Strange combination to say the least! Audi R9 front clip on a 4 door sedan with Infiniti tail lights.

Perhaps this would suit some people's taste.....but i think its time for companies like protoform to make real touring car bodyshells....

You know something that is related to the WTCC or BTCC like Vauxhall Astra, Honda Accord, Honda Civic Type-R, BMW, Seat leon and etc......

It would be nice to have realistic looking bodies similar to real life touring cars....after all we are racing touring cars (TC) arent we, not some futuristic machines.....

I know there's some difficulties having rights and permission from car manufacturers but is this possible???

I like them low and slammed. I don`t care if they look like a real car.

In regards to the realism factor, I know Dale agrees with you. He would like to shape the cars to be (even) more realistic. I can't speak for him, but we have talked about that before.

The problem is a body that is shaped to race is going to completely outsell a body that is built to look. Solely because we are racing, and if you don't make a race functional body, someone else will. The majority of racers will buy a body if it works over the way it looks.

Hopefully I worded that correctly.

Realism doesnt equal better performance. The TC cars we drive now are much better performers than the 1:1 counterparts. Our cars are much tougher, faster, and cheaper than the 1:1 "real cars" in racing today.

This is racing, and we need results also, not just looks, as you well stated. I think the real cars should be taking a page from the bodies and technology we have in rc

Besides, don't the real car manufacturers demand royalties for copying their design and logos? I'm not sure how much it is but I'm sure its not cheap.

It's not alot, but just the fact they want anything aggravates me!

The same thing is happening in RC airplanes. For years the model companies copied real airplanes for their models, now the manufacturers want their cut. Like another couple dollars is gonna make a difference.

Yes this is why we do not see the real versions anymore.

Its free advertising for the auto manufacturers. The sale of barbie dolls went up after Aqua released the barbie doll song but that still didn't stop them from getting sued by the makers of the doll
