GBS rules are for the body itself. There are other rules in regards to the size of the wheel cut outs. But those are the drivers responsibility to cut them correctly. There is no ROAR rule for body height to ground from the lower edge for the sides or front. Only from the rear. But that is with a 20mm block under the chassis. The trim lines are merely guidelines. To required under the rules.

I got two of the R9-R bodies (rubber is imprinted in the windshield) and they do have the bumps in the hood for the shock tower. Fit was great on the TC5 and also running the P-Dub bumper that is wider with no clearance issues at all. I still need more track testing but yesterday I raced with it and it has more steering for sure compared to the Mazda 6 with increased front downforce. Similar to the Speed6 but I need to try at another track for a better baseline since it's a permanent facility and I know my typical lap times and handling there better.

How does that R9-R body compare to our beloved Dodge Stratus?

Had anybody tested that R9-R body on indoor carpet on slicks?

Thanks

I ran one this past weekend on carpet/rubber. Very aggressive, but seems to be stable...... I did not have a Mazda to test against, but I will be comparing this weekend.

I ordered 2 from tower on Tuesday. I plan on testing it against the Mazda 6.

I got mine from Tower as well (although they shipped me some Revo bodies first).

The track layout is the same at Marin and I know what my lap times were the last time out with the Mazda so maybe I'll go straight into the R9-R and then test with the AP Stratus. We'll see what type of mood I'm in.

That's my plan as well. Might get some runs in Saturday and see how it goes.

Hopefully my R9-R comes in today. This weekends race may end up being one of the best this summer.

Starteur: and everyone. I was able to run the R9R on carpet, like the R9F it is FAST and it turns threw the center of the corner out better than any. i dont think that this body will replace the mazda series bodies completely but in my opinion will join those bodies among the fastest. PS: remember to pull the wing back on this body to take a little steering away if it is too aggressive. Paul
