tamiya has been doing the realistic car bodys for many many many years. and they never got any complaints.

I'm thinking since tamiya is a jap company then its ok to coppie jap cars. they never made a us car before.

also to have a civic body on a four wheel drive car would suck. i have an accord body on a ff car.

also these tc's that we race are made to go fast in corners. the scale speed is over 500mph. meaning to make a civic or a volvo go the speed that these cars could go would have to be made really thick lexan or more heavy lexan to stay the shape and most real touring cars can't cut threw the wind like a plain ass rc car body.

as for this protoform shell i think its crap. it looks funny its not scale. its diffrent yes but if your into ugly things then shoot yourself and do us the faver

Try driving a tamiya shell as fast as proto. Especially something like a civic hatchback. I tried driving a tamiya focus shell on a track, for the hell of it and it had no grip, it was almost like a drift car. Plopped a dna 2 on, it behaved like a totally different car. If you dont like it, dont buy it. But, youll be left wondering why those other guys with proto shells are faster than you.

tamiya scale bodies aren't legal.

why would you put that body on track? it must look good but anyone would know that tamiya bodies aren't track bodies.

i think this body is shiit. ill be right besides a protoform with another type protoform body. or proline

unfortunately, most people in this thread dont care what you think. Also, protoform = proline (with proline being the bigger half of course). I dont see the point you're trying to make. You're comparing tamiya scale bodies with race bodies then you talk about how you would never put a tamiya body on a track. You're obviously forgetting HPI makes scale bodies and those actually work pretty well on the track, i use them in my local RCGT Scale race class. If you dont like the body, no need to complain. Just dont buy it. Simple as that.

I have run the foam version on my T2'007 rubber sedan and it 'feels' every bit as good as my Speed-6. If you can't wait, get the R9-F, you will not be disappointed.

I ran the R9-F on rubber on indoor asphalt with traction on the level of carpet and it handled great.
