Default Orion 3200 Carbon Lipo in Xray T2

I've searched for the answer with no luck. Maybe I gave up to easily or I suck at searching. Either way will the Orion 3200 Lipo fit with no modification in the original Xray T2 like the adds say? Or will I have to file the bulkhead to allow it to fit? Not really a big deal cause I can try it out as soon as I get my pack but I'd like to know ahead of time. Thanks

I had to modify the bulk head as it is shaped to fit between the cells. It's only a small amount of work and if you di it right, no one will even notice.

Thanks. Did you still use the plastic battery holders at the bottom? Did you also use the graphite battery strap or tape? I'm assuming the bumps at the bottom of the pack fill help hold the pack in place? I was thinking of taking out the 2 middle holders and leaving the 4 corners.

you would have to dremel the rear bulk head to make it fit when they made the bulkhead for the t2 they gave it an arc so a nimh pack would stay in there tightly u have to dremel that part out

So I guess the add saying fits "Xray T2 without any modification" is a little off.

i think it fits in the EU edition without mods but it does not fit in the Us edition unless you file down the bulkhead.

I kept the 4 side corner holders but had to modify them so they didn't have the curve in them. This also made them weak and they broke soon after. I started with a strap and ended up taping if I recall. I haven't run an Xray in almost a year so I'm just going from memory.

I may just take them right out. I'll see how it fits when I get the pack. Thanks

The four corner holders will take a little modification, but use them. I also use tape as it makes for less slop with the battery pack. If you haven't used lipos yet you're going to love them, just slap in a bl motor and you're ready to go! Nexus Racing has some good tips on installing lipos.

Ok, so I decided to get the 3600mah lipo from Orion instead of the 3200. I figure I'll have to modify the bulk head on my T2 (original). How do I cut it? A dremel was mentioned above. Will that work? With a cutting disc? Any other way to make a clean cut?
