To get software installed on VISTA:
-Log into ADMIN (not your user name with full admin prevliges)
-If you cant see ADMIN log on see below*****
-Disable antivirus (in the case of AVG i had to uninstall it completely first)otherwise the install will fail.
-Install software
-plug in USB adaptor. ITs red led is on. If drivers dont load go to device manager.
-From Device manager click usb adaptor and install drivers. Point it to your C:\Program Files\Losi\Drivers folder
-it should install without issue
-USB should now turn green
-Start up software. GREEN light should be lit for usb
-plug in ESC(no battery hooked up at all!!) and software should turn green and show you your esc settings
-program away, this software unlocks way more features then the setup card

CANT FIND ADMIN?:
Follow simple instructions found here
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...-windows-vista

UPDATE:
Losi site for some reason does not have the file. But its attached to this post. The lastest firm ware is:
D.11.01.25

email me for file if you need it, Losi site is FUBAR cant download from there from any of my browsers

MERRY CHRISTMAS

That's great info Joel, however I need drivers for 64 bit Vista. Nothing that came on the disc seems to work.

Anyone know anything about this, 64 bit drivers?

I don't believe it is supported. Send RocketRon a PM and see if he can find anything out for you.

The USB Driver company Silicon Labs has informed us that there is no current intention of supporting 64 bit.

So at the moment the Losi interface will not function on a 64bit machine.

Well, thanks for the info. That's not the answer I wanted, but at least it's an answer.

For the 1/8th scale speeder, is there a card with more tuning options that will be released? Like the one shown in the photos in the instruction manual? Or will I have to downgrade my PC to a 32 bit OS to be able to program my ESC?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info Ron. Downloaded and installed, but no time to test it out.

I'm probably picking up a losi sensored esc tonight for my TC, with a novak 17.5. Anyone have some baseline settings to start with for a medium traction tight carpet setup? I'm running about a 4.40 FDR. TIA guys.

I installed the new Xcelorin software on my laptop (Windows XP). Once I reboot the system and plug in the USB cable and then connect the adapter the light remains red on the adapter. What am I doing wrong here? I turned off my virus software and have full admin access in XP. The device has a yellow question mark in the device manager in XP. Any ideas on how I can get the adapter light to go to green?

Default 13.5

Is it typical to get smoked by Orion 13.5s on the straight. I have a Losi exceleron 13.5 and it seems to be lacking. Do any other people have a problem with it? Could it be a weak magnet?

13.5T spec motors that are ROAR approved (which both are) should be close in performance. Differences could be - in no special order - rotor magnet, gearing, drvie train drag, weight, battery nimh or lipo and if lipo what lipo.

If you feel there is an issue with the motor please contact Horizon Customer Support and they will take care of you.

Exactly

But with reference to the motors performance, the losi 13.5 is as good as anything out there, i'd assume u have the gearing right, and how are ur motor temps, if its coming off cool, maybe not geared up enough, if its hot, then all the probs rocketron pointed out are where to look, drive train drag is one i normally look at first

default settings are mild to the point of stupidity, crack up the timing a touch and acceleration

I run the losi 13.5 and it runs with and ahead of the novaks, trinity, speed passions... I dont feel the motor is lesser then the rest, but the ESC default settings are just too mild, Hook up the USB update the firmware and dial in some power
