Just tried it. No Vista 64 drivers. This product will not work with Vista 64. Anyone from Losi know if it will be compatible anytime soon?

having raced the 13.5 at a couple of big off road meetings, i can honestly say they are as good as anything out there and the 17.5 motor is awesome also for those looking to run in that class

Default Timing Advance

Does anyone know if the Losi speedo has the timing advance logic in it like the LRP, and supposedly like the latest Novaks ?

You can mess with timing either via the software or the quick change card that comes with it.

Default hacker

just wondering if a losi guy can confirm or deny that hacker and losi motors are the same? i have the 17.5 losi and i compared it to a hacker, and they seem identical. either way both great motors. Just wondering if something may be different between the two

Its pretty much been proven they are virtually identical with the exception of cosmetics. Seeing is believing.

Hi Paul, sorry for the delayed reply, i do use the Losi xcelorin esc with the Losi 17.5 and the losi 13.5 and losi 10.5 motors, whether its true or not, in my mind i feel better running a motor that was designed to run with the speed control, especially since the esc has the adjustable timing built in,

To everyone using the system, how good is that programming card, just put the connector pins on the setting u want, plug it in and seconds later, the whole esc programming has changed, of course, for more indepth stuff, the usb programming is also very useful, but to change drag brake % or overall braking its so handy, and much quicker than trying to change my driving style

I know you can change the timing via programming, but I am curious if it has the automatic timing advance like the LRP Sphere. On the Sphere, the speedo changes the timing as you are driving. For example, it increases the timing when you are running down the straight. Not sure what that is called officially though.

I do know that it makes a huge difference in top speed compared to a speedo that doesn't have it. I know the Novak drivers has this feature now as well. Not sure if it is in the production speedos yet.

I program mine via USB but at the track this week i wanted to just make 2 changes and was going to use the card but was not sure if we would fudge up the stuff i had set on the pc. Does the card have to have all its pins in the same as u had set on the pc to preserve those settings or if all u want are 2 changes just use 2 jumper pins??

Anyway my friend had his lap top so i made my changes that way, he tried using his card and then hooked up the pc to confirm his other settings had not changed, He said they all changed and where all over the place.....

Guess ill have to read the manual a bit more

The Card must have a jumper on each setting and only the settings on the card will be changed.

Ah ha! Great news then. So use all the jumpers and everything else PC set will stay as is.
