The speical is just a memorial kit that comes with extra tools and body. Both cars are exactly the same.

Here's a list of the differences:

The 414M2 Champion Memorial Chassis Kit comes in the 414M black box with a sticker on it (indicating the 3 victories blahblah) while the regular version has a red box (flimsier from what I've heard). The Memorial kit has the following ADDITIONAL items (in other words, you get some unused items that would have to be used in the regular model):

Hop-ups:
x 2 Aluminum Swing Shaft (These blue shafts are lighter than the stock ones and are meant for use for the rear axles only... probably because they are more fragile.)

x 8 Lightweight Suspension Ball (Things that go on the ends of the suspension shafts; original ones are metal)

Tools:
x 1 Hex Wrench Driver (has a tip at each end of the rod, can pull it out and stick the other end in... allows use with 1.5 and 2.0 mm)

x 1 Wheel Wrench (for the 4mm wheels nuts)

x 1 Turnbuckle Wrench

Body:
x 1 Protoform Dodge Stratus body with wing, decals, masking seal, screws and nuts for wing.

x 1 TRF stickers (the regular 414M2 also has a set of Tamiya stickers... so with the Memorial Kit, you get 2 different sets of stickers)

Wheels/Tires/Inserts:
x 4 White Dish Wheels

x 4 Tires (Sorex?)

x 4 Tire Inserts (Sorex again?)

That's it! Is it worth the extra money? Heheh... that's up to the individual of course! But if you add up the costs of the extras, the price seems pretty fair to me!

Anybody played with front arm kickup or kickdown? What's the overall effect?

Hi All,

Anybody knows for SURE whether TA04 belts (front and rear) is FULLY compatible with TRF 414 M ? Some people told me it's compatible but some said it's not compatible.

What about TA04's low friction belt? Can it be used for TRF 414M?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly the front belt is the same as the TA04, but the rear belt is slightly different, but I just stick with the original 414M belts. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)
I know someone asked this before, so it's probably 8 or 9 pages back in this topic forum.

The TA04 belts are not the right size for the 414M.

C'mon... please let's not confuse each other here.

The TA04 Front belt should fit the 414M. It says so on the packaging. This is consistent with the previous post on this board.

As for the Rear Belt, I was told the TA04 belt doesn't fit...

The Front belt is the same as the 04 it says it on the package and the rear is different.. I received that info from Tamiya America. I also tried it on my car and the front does fit. The rear doesnt.

Sorry if the info about the belts is wrong. I was just telling you what Tamiya told me. Perhaps they were referring to just the rear belts.
