    front:
    white short springs
    2nd hole (shock mount)
4 mm spacer on front suspension shaft
2mm spacer on tie rod (from c hub to front bulk head)

    rear:
    blue springs
    3rd hole on shock mount
4mm spacer on rear susp. shaft
2mm spacer under front susp. block, 1mm under rear susp. blk.

17.5 bl with 2400 mah lipo.

will take pics of my current set up.
  • like mentioned, i dont run much foam ever, but from what i do know, you will probably need a much stiffer spring that Tamiya will offer. i would look for some Associated springs, they will fit on your TRF shocks fine. dont remember the actual color springs, but look in the area of 27 lb front, 20 rear. oil, try 70-f, 40-r.

and seems lke the few foam setups i have seen were using some swaybars, as well...

thats probably where i would start... your results might vary, lol.
  • look for tamiya grey and silver springs...

    i'll try purple and gray.
  • oops my bad what was I thinking when I wrote that, yeah purple and grey...
  • Anyone in this thread with 414/414x (not 414m and above) rear bulkheads they'd be willing to part with?$?
  • After seiing this thread i really should drag my 414 out of the loft and work on it again, must be two years ago since i last used the car and fitted EVO III suspension blocks.
  • I have been using it since carpet season started, all I can say is that I like it alot. I've got it set up to where I can drive it. Only draw back is parts are getting harder to find.
  • Does anyone on this forum have a 414 they want to sell? I want to try one of these out for a project I have. (preferably in the UK)

  • will the rversible arm fit the 414? any mods needed?

Yes they do. I have to clean my car from racing this past week, but I get some pics of my 414Hybrid. You will have to go with longer CV axle shafts. My car has a 414 chassis, bulkheads, steering rack, with 415 Lite weight suspension and 416 front & rear shock towers and finish it off with 416 front hubs.

I will post some pics when I get the car clean

and if you don't mind I would need details (parts wise) and does it handles better. That would be my next project.

    tnx
