Car had plenty of power with the T-Bang 13.5 DUO based motor, Power Push Batteries and Tekin RS. Car would just not turn in and carry speed in the corners. They ran 11 cars in the 'B' main (I think now refered to the "Grenade Rule") and I just went out to finish and not to get into anyone's way, which I did.

There were some things that the Tech Crew should have been checking, but I don't think it would have made much of a difference in the results. Some of the bodies were WAY LOW and some with a lot of wing. If I had brought it, I'd have put the Protoform Mulsane on the car, as it has LOTS more front down force!!

Hello everyone. Dropped off the U-Haul this AM... teardown is about complete - what a week!!! Hotel already had 2010's contract ready for us LOL so that is good news! I want to personally thank each and every one of you that were a part of the race. I believe this was the best 'birds to date. I know we made a few mistakes along the way but you can count on adjustments for the next one... to my guys (the crew) - you know I love you! Each and every sponsor has a big part in making the race happen, so thank you thank you thank you! I will be posting more soon but am beat haha. Julie has a filled TIVO she says I have to watch with her tonight haha. There are a ton of pics on-line on our race site thanks to Greg Rojna... and more to come. We had a lot of coverage from many sources, so that is always fun catching up. If anyone would like to email me and discuss the race please do - [email protected]. I love to listen and all feedback is welcome!! Now off to the Vet to pick up our lab Rusty (Marley if you watched the movie over Christmas haha).. CYA!

Before the Lipo police raid the thread, was that the Lipo or the freeze spray that went up in flames? I only ask as that looks identical to some of the Lipo blow up videos on Youtube.

It was the freeze spray. The theory is, it reacted with the spark when the new LiPo was plugged in at the same time.

That was the freeze spray going up from the sparks of pluging in the new battery pack. As far as i know other then some missing hair all involved are ok.

It was pretty scary as I was standing right next to the fire. Even the guys on the drivers stand could feel the heat and it was 50 feet away.

WOW, I was in town on Sunday and stopped by to check out the action. That was the first time I have ever been to a big time RC race and it was incredible. I look forward to watching it again next year.
