No limit on gear ratio,
19t and 10.5t's running in the same class, both to 6cell weight limit of 1500g. LiPo's also allowed (to weight limit).

Approval lists for 10.5t motors, and LiPo batteries (lists are also on that link).

Sorex 32R's were chosen via a vote by last years nationals competitors.

Hi Patrick,

I'm the BRCA section secretary for electric Touring, and whilst I think the guys have already covered the Pro Stock class rules do let me know if you need any more info.

The mix of 19-turn brushed and 10.5 brushless has now been successfully run at the opening rounds of a number of UK series. And we'll know a lot more after the first National round coming up this weekend (25th/26th April)

Cheers

thanks for help!

one more question:
19 turn brushed --> 6 cells and 1500g
10.5 turn brushless --> 6 cells and 1500g

is this correct?

Yes that is correct, you also have the option of lipo with either type of motor.

heres a true summary as i see it.

pro-stock.

weight 1500g
tyres preglued sorex 32's

motors allowable as per lists on brca site 10.5 brushless and 19T brushed.

batteries allowable as per BRCA 6 CELL NIMH OR 7.4v lipo in hard case.

any combination can be used motor/battery wise.

10.5 with lipo
10.5 with 6 cell
19t with lipo
19t with 6 cell

all cars to be 1500g, using sorex 32's

hope that helps

They guys have beaten me to it again and are right (again).

10.5 brushless motors from the BRCA Electric Board list, or 19-turn brushed from their BRCA EB list.

Rules state a maximum of 6 sub-c cells, although no reason why you'd run less than 6 as far as I can tell. Sub-c cells from the 2008 BRCA EB list, which is as close as makes no difference to the current EFRA list.

Or 7.4V hard cased LiPos from the new BRCA LiPo list.

All to 1500g weight limit.

Cheers, Mark

Default Much-More UK GP

Hi Patrick,

The guys have pretty much said it all in previous posts on this thread but we are a tiny bit different than the full BRCA Pro Stock rules:

For the Saturday of the Much-More UK GP in June it will be min weight of 1500g and:

10.5 turn or approved 19 Spec motors (from BRCA lists)
LiPo's as defined above or any NiMh 6 cell packs (no greater than 4600mah in capacity)

"NiMh Cells:
Any cell can be used as long as it is commercially available in the UK and it's capacity does not exceed the capacity of any cell on the 2008 BRCA list, ie. 4600mah."

From http://www.rcracecontrol.com/?action...emeeting&id=27

You won't be using Sorex tyres as a BRCA National - we are using the Muchmore Sweep as a control tyre at the event.

Any more questions please just ask or email me at [email protected]

Cheers,

Dan
