We're only allowed to use WD40 for traction compound. Would you bake that in as well? Do you guys bake tires even if it's hot out?

Darkseid and I used to use WD40 or Simple Green all the time. We would clean the tires, the put either one of the two on and let it pretty much completely dry on its own. You shouldn't need to bake it.

Syndrome- We just ran on track that was about 130 degrees and baking tires worked great. I always bake my tires...particularly when using an oily additive. WD-40 baked in works well but it is greasy for the first few laps.

Tire warmers are more for getting the sauce to penetrate into the rubber better than to get the tires up to temp. In fact, on hot days, I'll let the tires cool a bit before hitting the track so they don't get too hot too quick.

Hey Syndrome, I suspect the "NEW" Jaco Rubberz (blues or greens) to be closer in compound to the Much More Absolute 28 rubbers mounted on the Sweep wheels. Those rock but the rims suck eggz.

I have 3 sets of the green compound left over from the 2007 IIC. I was looking for the temp numbers on the jaco website, but they only had shore number which are more for firmness....right?? haha The green dots are 28 shore. Ive tried these tires at parking lot races because my Sorex 36's end up working better. Id really want to know the temperature rating of these Jaco tires. Hmmmmmmmmmmm???

The rubber is arriving later this week. We will begin mounting them as soon as they arrive. My guess is that they will begin shipping to shops the following week.
