Default VRC V4???

Just saw this and I had to do a double take. It took me a second to realize those were game graphics. I thought that was a real car sitting on that pit board. I saw VRC V3 and wasn't really that interested, but if those graphics really make it into V4 I might have to take a serious look at it.
So does anyone play VRC, and if so is it worth it? I saw Rheinhard and Moore playing on RC Racing.tv and it looked pretty cool. But I think when they start having the option for electrics it will be better. I think I heard off road is coming to it as well. Looks like it might be good time waster.

There's a few things about v3 that really annoy me, but I must admit, it's pretty close, and went a long way toward helping me improve when I was a beginning driver.

Now... this... wow! So far, it looks incredible. If the game plays anything like they've been promising, this could be very nice indeed. I'm excited there's going to be an electric option with carpet tracks! I'll line up to buy it the day it's released.

I can't wait to get this game. I purposely did not but version 3 because there wasn't an electric option. I am very interested in seeing the 3D rotational views of the cars!

They don't have it for Linux though. I can't deal with Window and how crappy it is, but I might just have to use it for V4. After you go to Linux you will never go back. Linux is so much faster and simple and everything you need is there... besides V4 apparently. a graphics card and V4 are on my list of things to get now.

Wine (Windows Emulator) almost has it running. I am tweaking some things so I might actually get 3.5 running on Linux.

Oh, come on. Just install windows on a second partition or external drive and boot into it when you want to play. Your Linux street cred won't be stripped away if you're only in windows long enough to play a game. I run bootcamp on my Mac, and can boot into windows specifically for VRC and nothing else. While a little part of my soul dies each time, it's totally worth it.

There are lots of innovative features coming to VRC4.
Not only that but it will cater for RC racers and bashers alike with a venue for most disciplines.

Nice one! So all working smoothly? Are you running XP or Vista?

I've had my eye on VRC for a couple on months now. Should I hold off until the new version comes out or are upgrades free?

There will be a upgrade package for current V3.4/3.5 users but not sure yet if its free or a fee will have to be paid.
Release was initially for June/July but i was told it would be late this year.

I made a mistake and said it was RCTV Live, but it was RCRacing.tv where Marc and Andy were playing VRC. One other thing I forgot to mention that was very cool was the fact that Andy Moore was playing WITH HIS OWN CONTROLLER! They have a dongle that allows you to use your M11 or
3PK or whatever. That definitely has to add to the realism.

There is a few options available for controllers.
There are VRC USB stick and pistol controllers.
There is the VRC USB adaptor for use with your own radio and reciever
or you can use the Nomadio React which has a USB built into it.

I've got the original MacBook Pro, and use bootcamp to go into XP when I get the VRC itch. It seems to play the game pretty well with the graphics options turned on. Vista is a mistake.
