Here we go...
This is some Yokomo type S***.Bringing out a new car so soon after the t1r.Was the t1r a way of getting rid of the old parts?I don't know if I would buy another xray if they release another electric so soon.I realize the concept of the t1r is basically a tub chassis evo2 and thats been around for a bit,but a whole new concept which looks completely different then what the car is now?I love xrays cars but they are not exactly cheap and I just bought a crap load of parts for my t1r.Oh well,if its an electric car, bring on the next shaft car already

If they want to win the US Indoor Champs and the Carpet Nats-they need to send one to me so i can do some "secret" Carpet/foam tire testing with it....OH wait-its not a secret if I post it on the web.
If it is a shaft drive car-which its got to be-and its electric (makes sense-why introduce a new gas car at the end of summer), I hope its a lot quicker than the Yok and Tamiya and as fast as the TC3 in acceleration.

"Bringing out a new car so soon after the t1r.Was the t1r a way of getting rid of the old parts?"
from the link:
"definitely something completely different from what XRAY has been up doing until now (different from touring cars)..."
this is not going to be another touring car people... shaft drive or not, it is not going to be a touring car and (try to) obsolete the t1r and evo2, or even a different scale of touring car.
i would like to see a xray off road vehicle, that is not a monster truck, and certainly not a nitro. should be interesting when we find out what they are working on.

"I dont see why it wouldn't be a touring car."
After a while in the market, they need to expand and get some additional sales. People like to buy stuff that is new, and many of the people who want and a X-Ray, likely already have one, so X-Ray is selling a steady supply of tourcing cars but not getting into new market areas. Having a third touring car in the lineup just does not make much sense, and would upset some people who just bought either a T1R or E2. Many people would not buy two or more touring cars would be happily purchase another X-Ray of a totally different model type.
If they release something like a 4WD buggy, they still get all of the regular touring cars sales with the two cars they already have, and then they can also sell additional buggies to current X-Ray owners and people in the buggy crowd that want something new. Or just people who want something new in general, the 4WD buggy fielld could use a kick in the ass
