I run everything Spektrum in all my cars. Servos, receivers and Tekin and have not had one problem in 2+ years of running this combo.

I'm also a long time spektrum user.

Like I said earlier, take a peak inside the RS' case, all the issues I was having kept pointing to receiver, or receiver power issue. Went so far as installing an external BEC, after swapping servos and receivers, and trying a receiver cap. Found my servo lead wires and power switch wires in questionable condition, replaced them, and have been good since.

If you suspect the spektrum, you can always connect a capacitor into the reciever. Spektrum have one of these as an extra. It solved a problem I was having a couple of years ago with voltage drop and loss of signal.

Regards,

Calvin.

At the same time I've got 4 Spektrum RXs so switching systems at this point isn't practical...but might be necessary. If I am able to cure my fade issue with a RX battery or a capacitor I will definately move to a Futaba or Airtronics system.
I had a tekin / spektrum issue. But it was the older Spektrum Module with a 3001 and or a 3500 micro.. the only way I could stop brown outs under hard braking was by changing the RX to another brand or by put a 3A Bec conected straight to the battery. Like what is used on the Nitro cars using lipo. Tried using the cap and it didn't work.. trying to fix this problem cost me heaps of money in broken parts and run away cars.. Tekin even gave me a new ESC under warranty when I told them about the issue but this didn't fix it.. would never put a Spektrum DSM1/ Tekin combo in my car again.. work flawlessly for heats/weeks/months then one day you have a full power run away at the end of the straight when u are trying to brake. No good... Don't know why this happens to not all setups.. but it does happen..

Default Set up for 1/10 Touring 2S

Hi,

What is the best way to set up the RS Pro for 1/10 TC?

Shall I start off without turbo and see if the car has good acceleration till mid way down the straight, and then set the turbo for the end of the main straight?
(Straight is 85 feet long)

Thanks

There really is no "best" way. 85' is nothing huge and for the most part any of the carpet track esc setups will work just fine.

I have a odd stutter issue. It seems that after a couple tire scrub laps the car is very, very slow off the line at the start of qualifying or the final. I could care less about qualifying but I’m getting tired of being hit from behind at race starts (yes I warn the other racers). It is also noticeable if I drop down slow in a corner (traffic) It take about 10 to 15 feet to get back up to speed. I have changed the motor and I have continuity tested the sensor cable. Any thoughts are appreciated? My TC RS Pro works fine.
