this motor is excellent me thinks for large in-door / out-door tracks.
The GM in my view is better suited to small / med indoor circuits.
IMO that's a lot of timing for a X12. And the X12 have strong magnets - so strong that I know a lot uses push control, to keep it from "drag-braking" violently.

Neutral width is the "deadband" around 0 throttle. In other terms, how much you need to move the throttle in order to make it react. Some radios wander a lot and therefore can't use a low neutral width.

Hi Guys:

I am running a RS on 1S lipo but have trouble calibrating with my KO transmitter. I have used a new profile on my transmitter (everything is 0). When I try to calibrate, the lights on the speed control will turn on and it does not have the tone to confirm it was calibrate correctly. I have checked my wires and they are all wired correctly. I have a Novak booster soldered on my speed control

Thank you

Are you holding down "mode" to put it in calibration mode? Is it not finding neutral? If so, try increasing your neutral width.

I did hold down the button and follow the steps and i did reverse the throttle. Strange thing is the esc can read my full throttle, neutral and brake but it will not have the normal tone during calibration. The esc show i have full throttle (all lights are blinking while full throttle). I am quite sure my motor and sensor wire works. It worked before I flash to 212 and after I flash to 212 it does not work as normal

You'll need to run a receiver pack or booster to use the RS with 1s. Which are you using?

I have had the same problem with mine , you need to plug the RS into the hotwire and tell it it is in 1s mode then it will recognise the battery voltage then you can learn in your end points

Just sent one of my RS's off for repair...accidentally plugged it in backwards on the battery

Anyway I had a question on the turbo fade/lag issue I've been having. At first I thought it wasn't actually coming on due to a possible transmitter ATL wander as has been mentioned. But this past weekend I dropped the turbo delay down to it's bare minimum and at the start of the run the car was very fast but after a few laps the turbo seemed to go away. One of my fellow racers was observing and noticed that the turbo did seem to kick in but it wasn't until the very end of the 100+ ft straight. I'm wondering if maybe it could be just because they are old...both my current RS's I bought before the 1st Vegas version ever came out.

AFAIK overgearing can cause powerfading. Can someone confirm this?

I've tried the same gearing as the other guys at the track and also tried under gearing it. The motor stays around 150* or less so I'm not over geared.
