Any word on Mike Haynes' snowbirds expert setup for the tekin?
ESC setting? motor tining?
hey im just getting back into the hobby. I have a t2 009 foam with a duo 2 10.5 and tekin pro esc. motor timing is a factory settings FDR 6.1 and ESC settings are:
212 software
sensored c1
drag 10
brake strength 100
push off
brake 10
throttle profile 3
current off
neutral 56
throttle min 10
timing 45
boost 40
rpm start 5400
rpm end 27000
turbo 10
delay .24
ramp 1.0
Does this look right? any suggestions would be helpful! running on semi tight track. ab a 70 ft straight. Thanks.

drag brake
Looking for some clarification. Does drag brake come into effect whenever throttle is in neutral position after any position of throttle? Eg. at half throttle then throttle returned to neutral position. Or does it only come into play only after full throttle then returned to neutral position? Or does it come into play when going from any throttle position to less throttle position?

for what I now only when you come off the throttle.
I never use it. I use the brake. works better for me because some corners are faster without the drag brake.

Normally the rule of thumb is not to exceed 60-65.
I am using 75 (50 boost + 15 turb + 10 motor timing) on my Speed Passion with low temps and lots of power.
Then there are LRP motors which need even less timing.
+1, I've been finding the same thing.
1s setups seem to maintain speed through the run a bit better with timing in the 40-50 degree range.
2s setups you can get away with 50-65 degrees without seeing much fall off through the run.
Of course, some motors have more timing than others, and ESC setup has to mesh with your motor.

So i've managed to sort the answer out for myself, i ran the x12 with good effect yesterday and on 203 firmware.
boost at 45 and turbo on 15 with fdr of 6.5
next step is to play with drag brake settings as the car overshoot apex's to offer to post a fast overall time.
this motor is excellent me thinks for large in-door / out-door tracks.
The GM in my view is better suited to small / med indoor circuits.
