Tekin RS ESC sensored
The new 208 have strong improvement on the brakes and is very much cooler on the motor at 56deg C 7min run after fiddlng with it on last weekend's race. Increased the endbell timing, the boost timing and even the fdr and the temp stayed consistent. Well done Tekin
thanks in advance
Hopefully they will continue to work on the controller feel. I am trying the Novak Kinetic today. I suspect it to be even smoother than anything else I have tried. But we'll see. If it is not good there a few guys at the track that want it. And I don't even have it yet.
I use to run the rs with almost very limited timing, boost, throttle feel, turbo etc on the 203 and with the 208 i manage to raise the stakes of the feel, boost timing, turbo, endbell timing and even the fdr's and the motor is 15 to 20 deg Celsiuis cooler on the 208 which will eventually give u ample of space for fine-tune your setups. I run my RS on the sanwa M11-x and have yet to give it some more run time before i exploit the problems with the rs issue everyone have been talking about. Isnt the Novak kinetic is as similar as the LRP motors? Correct me if i am wrong.
I'm looking to try out the Redline series of motors and might startout with the 6.5T. Have never tried out anything lower than 11.5T sensored.

I notice this too. I haven't been running the RS because I was getting it done with a MMP. But I always like to try the new firmware to see if it is smoother than it was. Well I was really surprised at how good it feels now. And the motor is running 20-30 degrees cooler. Almost like running no timing.

But I am suspecting that it should be as smooth if not smoother than the LRP controller. I have never run one of those, mostly because all the guys that used to race brushed motors tried to convince me of how great they where, but I was always novak or tekin. As both where made state side.

i would not use max turbo, there a re far better setups to get with out being maxed
Usually the higher a turn of the motor, the higher boost or turbo one would use. Have never heard of anyone on the Tekin using turbo's on lower turn motors but i have seen the likes of hobbywing and have seen successive runs on their turbo mod on 3.5T's! Would love to give these a try on the Tekin but one step or one turn at a time..

With ver 208, how do you get the starting RPM below 4,000?

Is there any way to have the 203 and 208 software on the same computer?
Turbo can be used on mods it simply must be done properly. There are very few times where I've felt it would be needed. In mod if you need more motor, MOTOR UP!

With a 30mm rollout, 4000RPM is a leisurely 7km/h. Adding too much timing too early will only result in extra heat. Anyway, it all depends on what you're trying to achieve. My current 21.5 setup has the timing kicking in around 8k RPM, but I use some motor timing on the Tekin Redline to give it some initial punch. YMMV
For WGT, I didn't have any problems with Novak or TQ boosters; however, I have more battery resources available towards the end of a run with a 200 mahr LIFE servo battery pack (requires no additional circuit board). And the LIFE also brings me up to minimum weight (930 gm) on my Gen-X 10.

Anyone have any setups for 1/12 on a relatively small track with the v208 software with a 17.5bl? There are a few v203 setups on the Tekin site, but nothing for v208 yet...
The track has a pretty tight infield, with about a 60' straightaway...
The car is a 125R.1.
