Need help in understanding about how much RPM i should set for End RPM.

Currently i'm using a 11.5T which is said to be the same as a brushed 23T motor. Is there a tool to check the RPM for brushless motor like the motormasters from muchmore?

Exp: A 23Turn brush motor stock untouch rpm is about 28000 ~ 30000 and after tuning and meddling with it i can get 49000 ~ 51000 rpms.
So how do i translate to a brushless motor????

Should end rpm be like 29000rpm????
Just want to know better to convert it.

Your diagnosis about the motor being on it's way out before I got it sounds exactly like I wanted to hear. I double checked and I do indeed have version 203 loaded so that eliminates that option. I will back off on on the settings and keep trying as this is way too much fun. I use to love working on brushed motors but this has taken place of that pretty easily! Thanks for the great software ..............and cleaner hands!
i think he is right too steve. that motor just took a dump. my ballistic motor came off at less than 130 with a little less turbo setting in yours. i think we have been overgearing this cars all along. all three of our cars last nite looked like we stuck in a lower turn motor. that ballistic motor like the timing! i was overgeared somein the main, maybe 2 teeth still.

10.5 motors are nearer to a 12 turn single brushed than the 19t that is the "equivalent" so I think your 23t comparison is a bit off in the real world

Default RS TEKIN V2.03 Settings Push???

Posted this 5/6 pages and got no response. Any comments on this .
Used the new software yesterday,After a bit of trial and error settled on the following. Car was awasomely quick and was the equal of most of the Nim cars.
Still not settled on the end RPM and range so may need a little tweaking. Also on one run had push set too 25.As it happened this was my fast run. But came too the conclusion why have push if you have Drag brake. Some one might want tooo comment on this one.Car was very quick on straight and a bit hot too handle out of the corners.
Also any thoughts on END RPM and minimum rpm range.???

Track carpet 100ft X 40FT (30mt x 12mt)
Fast and flowing.
Motor redline 10.5 timing set too zero rollout 67.2

i would look to the manufacture of the motor for it's kv rating, but if all else fails, try the novak site and see what their kv rating is for you turn of motor

you cant use push if drag brake is on,it will create a delay in the drag brake.your close with the end try in the 8k with a 2500 start ramp3 and 5 turbo and delay on 3-4

There have been a few posts on battery fade. I have experienced it and I have seen others experience it this weekend.

What is causing excessive battery fade?

Is it too much RPM? Too much timing? Too much timing too fast?

These settings seem to be very close - try an RPM window (start-end) of 3500-8000, and maybe try using a throttle profile of 3 instead of 4 if the car is hard to control out of tighter corners. I'd also use drag brake w/o any push control - I had to add drag brake (I used a setting of 10) to get my car into corners with more accuracy.

It's too much timing in too short of a timespan. Set the turbo delay a little higher, set the start/end RPM a little tighter (the actual values will depend on the motor being used, but try to keep the window between 3000-4000 RPM), and keep the turbo ramp @ 2. For 1 cell cars, I wouldn't use more than 45 degrees of timing boost. If the car seems slow, you can probably increase the rollout a bit. I increased the rollout until the car felt "lazy", but lap times dictated otherwise...

The biggest point to keep in mind - make sure that the chassis is working well to see the greatest gains with the least amount of battery fade.

I wish I was there yesterday to help out. If Steve ran the Duo in hole 2 he had 20 degrees of timing on the motor. You want as little as possible with the new software. Make sure on your Ballistic you are in the minus side of the timing. If you are at N then you have 30 degrees on it. I really hate this timing misconception that is going on with some of these motor types.

what formula do you use to translate kv rating into RPM?

well, kevin, i had it behind the N for awhile, and it was just dog slow, i put it back at the N with the boost around 45 and the sucker was fast enough for me to break it then i know it should work like that, but it did. motor came off less than 130 degrees still. i am gonna work on it more on thurs. the difference in the speed is pretty surpising, especially in touring car.

I had Novak Booster Cut-Out issues with my WGT 13.5 car on the bench, low load with a main 1S battery voltage of 3.8V for testing after updating the software. After a full-charge on the battery I could not get the problem to reproduce on the bench, but after a few minutes on the track, I couldn't go an entire lap without a cutout.

On my 17.5 1/12 car using a Novak Booster, I had zero problems all day long. Not sure where the problem is, but a 2s 300mah Receiver battery cured my problems in WGT.
