Start with Hara's 17.5 setup, dial back the boost and turbo a couple of notches to begin with(46-48 boost, 10-12 Turbo). Start with an FDR around 7.2 - 7.5. That should get you in the ballpark.

Dear Randy
Can you explained to us, how this Tekin esc work. I mean, which is come 1st. Let say, we use 5k start RPM, end RPM is 20k, its mean, after 20K the Turbo is engage..? How if we set it use motor RPM, like Tekin 10.5T is 33,300RPM on 7.4V. So we put the RPM is around 28,000. Is it need to wait 28,000RPM, then the Turbo will engaged?... Please advise, so we can use this as our setting tips...

Turbo is not regulated by rpm, only time.

Please read the guide the other gentlemen posted. It should answer your ?'s

Try the Nitro On-Road forum. This thread is about Tekin RS electronic speed controls.

Hi Randy, so its useless if we set the end RPM higher rite? Coz somebody tell me if we set the end RPM using recommended by Team Tekin 20,000RPM its become normal motor. Coz they told me, Redline motor RPM is 33,000RPM. Set it to 30K or 28K

The RPM start and end points are mearly to set the range that the boost changes effectiveness. The bigger the difference between these two numbers, the more gradual the boost is applied. Smaller difference results in a more aggressive increase in boost. Now depending on what motor you are running and the gearing you are using will determine the proper range and aggressiveness the boost should be applied. The lower the starting RPM, the more initial rip you will experience which can be both good and bad depending on grip levels. You can either overheat the motor or loose traction if this setting is too low. End Rpm determines how quickly the motor accelerates over the usable RPM range of your motor/ gearing combination. Just because your motor is rated at 30k RPM doesn't mean that the end RPM should be the same. It's actually somewhat irrelevant. The boost is a performance enhancer and should be set according to the performance of your whole package not just your motor specs.

I hope this helps.
