this is my setup for the Tekin and SP13.5 V3

the motor is 70 DegreesC after 7 mins

and it seams quick

What do you think of it and could i give the motor some more ?? and if so where ??

our track is fast and flowing with a 70m straight and a fast lead onto it

FDR 6.9
motor timing fixed 10 degrees endball
Throttle profile 5
neutral width 10
brake 100%
Timing boost MAX
Turbo boost 10
turbo delay 0.6
Start 6,xxx (this was at 4,xxx but i thought it was a bit soft)
end 12,xxx

Let me know what you think

Hi guys,

I have been reading this really long thread for about 3 weeks and for it being one of the most active thread on rctech, there is really a lot read and search. I have recently started playing EP (been racing nitro offroad) and have bought and built an F104Pro. I have been very conservative on my EP spending and have been using loaners (ESC and motor) until now.

However, I entered my first EP race last weekend and qualified in B and managed to get 5th spot. I am starting to like EP onroad and would like to get into more serious racing.

I just bought 1 TP 17.5 and am looking for a new ESC. I have narrowed my choices down to either Tekin RS or RS Pro or SP GT 2.1. I do hope that i can also use this ESC on EP buggies as well. So, I am looking for a good universal ESC.

Any opinion, settings or help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and keep up the great advices.

Below is the only post i found on F104 in this thread dating back to March.

Timing Boost 40

Throttle Profile 4
Tubo Ramp 2
Delay 0.3
Neutral Width 5
Rollout 81mm

Track is medium to large free flowing track. Currently motor after 5min run is 122 degress F after each run.
I feel the car is very sluggish in the infield. With all the reading I'm doing, and if I understand it right, am I correct to lower my Timing Boost to say 20 and up the turbo Boost to solve this feeling
If so, what would be a good starting point for these settings, without getting the motor too hot and not sacificing straight line speed. I understand I should be aiming for around 135-145 as a good guide.

Any information would be appreciated.

It sounds like your close based upon other people I know running that motor.
Increase your end rpm - try from 18k to 23k all with a start around 5k. Also, try gearing up and down one tooth. One last thing -- maybe work to try less Turbo delay.

+1

I think the wider rpm range will drop the motor temp slightly and just one more thing, if your track is fast and flowing then you shouldn't need to set your throttle profile to 5. You may see another small drop in temp by going to TP 3 or 4.

Start: 5,xxx
End: 20,xxx
Turbo delay: 0.2

You will then probably need to adjust your gearing a little bit.

Default Rs Pro power cap question

The power cap on my rs pro exploded a week ago so I bought the Tekin power cap which is labelled - G11 POWER CAP, 1000uf 16V. This power cap is larger than the original that came with my rs pro. My question is this cap ok to use with my rs ?????

Just bought a tekin 13.5 system from my car and have a few questions. Do it come with a cap? And why is this needed?
