Default Thanks

Just want to say thanks to Tekin for providing me awesome speedo's. I used an RS to win 1/12th stock, and to finish 4th in 1/12th 13.5.

Also, I used an RS-Pro in my World GT car. Missed TQ by .1 (bobble-driver) and had the fastest single lap of the event, just couldnt really get the clean run needed to win.

The speedo's performed flawlessly, that is now the 2nd major win in 17.5 for the RS (Vegas and Cleveland) against a larger field of other brands. I think it goes without saying that these speedo's get the job done in a class where H.P. is crucial.

Thanks
Donny Lia

I ran the speedo this weekend at Cleveland 1/12, switched from "Novak 4 Cell Spread Spektrum" version, and it was great. I was in Master's 1/12 Stock

If someone was beside me going down the straight, they were not when we entered the turn because of the "Max Timing". It was like having NOS on my car.

When? Will sell an upgrade kit?

Thanks

Hey Guys,
If anyone is running 13.5 1/12 on a large track like the Indoorchamps a great starting point is 45 total degrees of timing, #3 profile. 55% drag break, and a 40-88 gear ratio with 1.70" tires. That set-up turned the fastest times in every run, unfortunately the drive didn't drive well every run..lol.. I eneded up qual. 4th and breaking in the main. If anyone needs more help with speedo or motor set up feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Wayne

Make sure get the hotwire or know someone who has one that can program the speedie for you.

Crank the timing up to 85 or 90 and i also put current limiting on it at 90. Damn thing just has too much rip and i cant control it at 100. Although it may be car setup, ive noticed other people have set the current limiting to 90 when paired with a 10.5

I also recomend the Hotwire. Any new software update will come this way.

No new "esc" of the month. Simple easy to install software updates that keep your Tekin up to speed at all times!

Most 10.5 setups use sensored only, motor timing around 24 degrees or so. Gear accordingly.

Randy,

Do you have an ETA for the new ESC firmware?

on the current limiter if you reduce it does the top end speed slow down. i usually run 1/12 in the 13.5 and 6.5 class in a fairly tight track, what kind of drag brake settings would be a good starting point

I'm not sure about 6.5 but I run mine in 1/12th with 13.5. In Hybrid mode you'll find you have very little brakes and drag brakes even maxed out with a 13.5. Run it in Sensored Only mod and you will have all the brakes you need and more. I'm not sure how the brake are running a motor as low as a 6.5. My car isn't near me right now so I don't know where my drag brake is set.

I was able to test the pre-production software with the new "boost". MAD rip with my 17.5 I need to gear down now because I'm still accelerating at the end of the straight.

It effectively reduces the amount of punch the speedie will provide. It shouldnt reduce speed.

I forgot to check if my motor temp went down though (which i suspect it may slightly).

new "boost"????

BTW i have a mobile broadband usb device (HSDPA via 3g mobile phone sim) and the hotwire doesnt seem to work with updating via it. Effectively when windows picks up the device as a dial-up modem. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Most of the team has the new boost software.

The public version will be out soon. When the team guys get the software it's beta software. Things can be done wrong if you're not careful.

When the public load is ready I WILL post it here!
