Will the new software change the throttle feel of the ESC? Maybe make it more aggressive?

Guys what do you think about tekin`s 10.5 motor?
Is it as good as the competition?
Meaning as fast, reliable, easy to set up?

Great Esc/Motor Combo then.
From my personal experience I have had 3 orange 10.5's and 1 Orion 10.5.
The orange's were fast but didn't have the umph the Orion Had.
I think the 2 Tekin's have are the best of both worlds. Great Torque,Smooth and lots of RPM as well. I have been very happy with their 6.5's,10.5's,13.5's and 17.5's compared to others. The quality and durability are great.
Performance is right there if not better than what I have tried.
I will say I REALLY like the powerband of the Tekin's.

Foodie- Yes there is Protection built in. If you take a minute to read the directions it will even tell you how to read the L.E.D.'s to see how close you are to overheating the speedo or putting it in Thermal Protection.
Plus if your running lipo it had protection for that as well.
Great Speedo.

Foodie, note that with a 4.5 you probably want to run a second or larger capacitor on the speedie. Further to that you may need to run a fan blowing across the solder posts (the posts are effectively heat sinks on the speedie)

hmm, ok... May i ask why Tekin have produced this as a no limit speedo, and then you actually need to add extra stuff, for it to actually run lower turn motors? Doesnt make sense...

It will run a 4.5 without the extra cap and a fan but you won't be able to get maximum performance out of the speedo/motor. the extra cap helps the speedo run more efficiently with low turn motors and the fan helps it run cool. Both are important when you're running a hot motor.

If you're running 12th you shouldn't need the fan with a 4.5 but I would run the extra cap.

The 2nd cap isn't always neccessary. IF you thermal the esc using the 4.5 the 2nd cap will help the esc run cooler. In extreme conditions like outrood asphalt where track temps are over 160F a 2nd cap and or fan help the esc run cooler.

We're looking at an aluminum lower housing to help reduce heat and get away from the fan permanently.

Might see an R1/RS Pro Worlds kit with the lower housing and 2nd cap...

Lower housing looks killer in Tekin Red...

Of course it will be available as an inexpensive upgrade for all of us early adopters, right?

...even though I'm only running a 13.5 right now...
