I only ask as I made that same mistake when I first got the tekin Redline motor - "stock" endbell position on the Redline is 12 degrees, so when I went to put ESC timing on the motor, it was overtimed and stuttered on spool up.

As a general rule, total endbell and esc timing should be a max of about 45-50, well, that seems to work for me. Any more and it doesnt like it, but all motors are different

v203 appears to make the motor work at a cooler temperature too, which might help you out too

You can add two. It is even recommended if you are having heat issues. If you are not, it is unnecessary. And as already stated, the closer, the better.

How do you know where the timing is on a redline motor? Or where the timing is when it comes from the factory?

Was bored today so I figure I see you guys talking about heat. So it got me thinking. Here what I got removed case made a a lot of small holes in it. Next took muchmore fan and small piece of servo tape place it in middle making sure when I drilled hole they would be were fan would be blowing. Next took two small screw and screwed they into back two hole. Before you ask you can push gently on the front of fan and use the buttons still

your blowing into a case but can the air pass through the case? Otherwise the heat will still be trapped inside as the air can not pass through. The air gets blown against itself so to speak as it can't go anywhere. The solder posts are the heatsinks so it should at least blow against that.
