Try Ardent Racing Skiddins - they were showing stock earlier

I still troll the onroad rs thread, but the last time I had an onroad car was a team tc4. I try not to get too much dirt in the onroad thread.
Because everyone and every track is different, here is my general formula for setting up with mod motors offroad:
For smooth power go with dual mode like smoke suggests with 60-70 advance to start. For more power feel free to go all the way to 100.
If you still need more snort then swap over to sensored only mode and leave the motor at its default timing with boost and turbo at 0.
If you want "lolomgwtf" power turn the motor back to 5 degrees and just start with 10 degrees of boost with 5000/30000 start/end rpms. If you still have room to lay down power on the straight then keep adding 5 degrees of timing at a time until the tires fall off.

please help. getting back into the tekin settings.

does anybody have the latest tekin software? also, does anybody have a 10.5 starting point setup for the latest software?

i run on an asphalt parking lot track with huge driving lanes and a back straight around 140 feet. looking for a 10.5 performance in the infield and a 5.5 performance in the backstraight. my current fdr is 7.9.

thanks.

v203 is the latest public release. There is probably a new private beta behind the scenes for employees and team drivers but it is not available for anybody else.

20 Smoke,

In your signature you have Team Tekin listed. Are you just a supporter of Tekin, or are you sponsered?

As my frustration level with Tekin mount (I have a rotor in a 1900kv that blew apart after maybe 3 races), I have to give credit where credit is due.

Most sponsered drivers don't offer the time and effort that you have on this thread!! Your support, maybe not always 'spot on', LOL, is nothing short of awesome.
I think for most of us racers it is just as important having someone like you trying to help, then some Amain snub.

Personally I would like to see Tekin throw you a few freebies since they are currently undermanned and can't offer the time and support you do. :-)

We have a lot of top drivers in Rc right now. I expect all of our drivers to step up and support ANYONE that needs help, period. This is a huge issue for me personally in regards to the team.

I grew up in RC with some of the best in the industry: Matt Francis, Scott Brown, Llyod Dasonville, etc. My expectations are that the team guys help anyone with a Tekin product.

We don't sponsor any "a main snobs." I'm not interested in that. We have one of the most diverse teams in RC right now. Our team guys are sponsored because they make the hobby a better place.

In regards to sponsorship. Anyone can apply, a lot do. However often times the approach is wrong. Sponsorship is about relationship between the racer and the company. The racer should provide superior customer support in the filed helping other use said companies products properly. This can be as simple as helping setup and esc for someone. What most have forgotten now a days is that the end result is to PROMOTE the product. Not just winning but proving that the product is superior in performance and support.

The company than in return supports the racer with support in the way of product, technical support, and race support.

I will neve forget a race I was attending where Matt Francis was racing. I watched him literally help this young man out that was having handling issues with a 2wd buggy. He clearly didn't have the car build properly, etc. Matt literally set his own car aside and rebuild this young mans car, using HIS parts! Matt missed a qualifier and nearly a heat race while doing this. Matt proudly set the young mans car down for the youngsters last qualifier. The kid was beaming, not only did Matt freak'n Francis rebuild his car but he managed to take the last A spot in his class!

While this is obviously a rare case, it shows the great lengths that some will go to promote the product. After this race was over the young mans father approached Matt and offered payment. Of course Matt being the professional he was, declined. Matt is sorely missed by those of us that know him. Not only was he fast, he was an ambassador for Rc.

In the end, I have VERY high expectations for my team drivers. If our drivers have not met your expectations please feel free to drop me a line:

Sorry for the rant.
