i would drop the motor timing to zero on the can. drop the end RPM down to 6500 and increase your delay to .4-.5, but that depends on if you get value out of the turbo at all.

on smaller tracks, i would possible look at the max/max setups like cuffs ran at the birds. but they do require a lot less gear. i would drop like 3-4 teeth from your current setup to run those.

i take it that if you accidently reverse the polarity on the esc (only took a second) that it will not be covered by the warranty......flames + smoke = unhappiness....

expensive lesson learned (and is out of warranty anyway)

I don't know about the brakes since I have never had a problem with them but raise those rpm levels a LOT. At least get the end rpm up to 20k or so. On a big track you will be at max boost all the time.

Today I have try new the setup, thanks for everyone's suggestion, outdoor temp same yesterday, but wind more bigger.

2s lipo sensored mode
Firmware 203
Throttle profile: 3
Timing Boost: 38
Turbo Boost: 7
Start RPM: 2xxx
End RPM: 14000
Turbo Ramp: 3.0
Turbo Delay: 0.3
Gear Radio: 5.8

motor timing 0

This setup use in mmh 8.5t hi-torque version, the motor temp looks allright is 65-70 degrees celsius,
if change turbo boost 7>10, speed have more better Performance, but temp up to 80+ in 4minute, and very fast speed on keep 2-3 minute, after 2-3 minute later speed down, look same turbo boost=7's speed, look feel no trubo boost in final speed, but timing boost looks no probelm.

Same setup use in mmh 8.5t hi-rpm version(same yesterday), motor timing 0. gear 6.4, turbo boost=7, motor temp probelm same yesterday, but have Some improvements, motor temp is 80-90degrees celsius,
not test in turbo boost=10,

How can I to modify setup is better? thanks

If more turbo was giving a lot more speed, go for the more turbo. To bring the temps down, raise the end rpm a bunch and go down to ramp 1 or two.

i am after a little bit of help ,

i cooked my GM13.5 motor today and i replaced it with my Tekin 13.5

i tried two set ups

this 1st from Randy Pike

Start revs 4,xxx
End revs 12,xxx
turbo delay 0.5
timing boost 45
Turbo 10
gearing of 6.7
Throttle profile 5
end bell timing 4 degrees

the motor was at 85 degrees after 7 mins

i then went to my set up of

Start revs 4,xxx
end revs 10,xxx
turbo delay of 0.0
timing max
turobo 12
Gearing 6.7
Throttle profile 5
end bell timing 8 degrees

this set up was quicker but still the motor was 85 degrees , i run a motor cooler with a fan but still this is too hot

our track is quick open and a 70 meter straight wath speeds of around 80 kph at the end , there is only one slow corner and i am on full throttle a lot of the track .

I like the feel of the 0 turbo delay as the corner on to the straight is a fast sweeper and if i miss my line (i am no reinhard ) If i do miss it i have to get off the throttle then back on it and if i have a turbo delay then i can loose a meter or so on the straight .

Please help as i don't want to destroy another good motor , but i want to make this motor work , i am not far off the pace with the rest of the guys but want to make the motor cooler but 10 degrees or so

Thanks in advance Phil

run the boost over a longer period.
start rpm @5k-8k
end rpm @17k-25k
it doesn't hurt acceleration (might even help it)
i think you heated the motor by to much timing to quick.

this is what i run in eindhoven;

Start revs 800
End revs 25k
turbo delay 0.2
timing boost 45
Turbo max
gearing of 6.3
Throttle profile 3
end bell timing 20 degrees, depending on weather, HOT days are 15 degree, cold days 25 degree.

widening the boost gives a lot more lineair feel on the acceleration. i started from about the same setup as you did. i quickly noticed i bogged a little round about 1/3th of the speed of the car. when i raised the end RPM the bog went away and motor got cooler. this was with max boost and max turbo! so then i was temping about 90 degree on a normal 20degree day. started to gear up 3 to 4 tooth and use little less timing, from max boost to 45. saved about 20 degrees of heat and gave a little more infield punch, but a little less back straight acceleration... then i started playing around with the motor timing. WOW and that was the big point! i started from about 12, and went up to 20, man it was like a modified motor! sooo much power. tried 25 degrees, was more power but got hotter aswell...
next thing im going to try is some cooling. i made a lexan part that directs air from a fan directly into the motor, trough the open slots of my motor. hope this helps!

good luck in Haren!
