hey guys,

just bought n Xray T2R pro and thinking of running a Ballistic 13.5T motor, do i need the RS PRO esc or will the RS be fast enough?? if the RS is good, does it have any overheating issues, how easy is it to program it since am new to the electric world??
do i need a fan if running in an indoor carpet track?? temp is around 23C

do i have to have the hot wire or the set-up modes on the esc are enough?

any advices and tips are highly appreciated

cheers

Ali

RS IS FINE FOR 13.5

if the RS is good, does it have any overheating issues,
YOU WILL HAVE NO OVER HEATING ISSUES WITH A 13.5

how easy is it to program it since am new to the electric world??
EASY IF YOU HAVE A HOTWIRE AND A LAP TOP

do i need a fan if running in an indoor carpet track?? temp is around 23C
SEE ANSWER ABOVE NO

do i have to have the hot wire or the set-up modes on the esc are enough?
NOT ESSENTIAL BUT RECOMMENDED

any advices and tips are highly appreciated
ONLY ADVICE I COULD GIVE YOU IS GO BUY ONE NOW
cheers

Well if the price for RS pro is only a bit more. I sincerely think getting the RS pro is an option. Who knows you might want to upgrade to a higher turn next time.
Till date i've owned 4 RSpro(s) and all are Insanely fast and reliable. Only one bad point. You have to bare the sore words of those who are using other brands.
Remember RSpro can use with both Sensored, Sensorless and Brushed Motors.

I know the packaging says the normal RS can't go lower than 12 turns but has anyone tried to use a 10.5 with the RS with success?

Any gearing and settings advice on the following track;

It would be on the following layout;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do0FIidbXvs

Last year I ran an FDR of 4.5 with a 10.5 LRPx11 using the LRP SPX speedo on setting 8.

I will be using an RS Pro with an LRP x12 on standard timing. What's the highest combination of settings I could use on that combo?

This may have been covered before, so i apologize.

Has anyone found that their RS gets the motor really hot. Now please do note that I have taken timing off the can. I have also tried all different setting on the speedie even having no timing or turbo. But it still comes off at 65 deg c

I did have an issue where somehow my capacitor came off however, i did replace it but did run atleast 2/3 race with it missing.

I do also have another RS in my other car and the motor doesn't get as hot.

I have tried 2 different 17.5 same gearing same results.

Any one have drag brake issues? i have drag brake turned off but it still acts like there is some drag brake, drive train is free smooth and mesh is set perfectly. the weird thing is that after full throttle if i lightly tap the brake, not even enough to slow the car down it'll roll for a heck of alot longer then just letting off to neutral, ive tried different radios, motors, setups, ect to no avail and i have a friend with the same exact issue, this wasnt an issue with 200.
