Thanks,

Has anyone try these differant settings for spec stock racing?

I have used the rs with early versions of the software and it is not as good as v203 even without the turbo and boost. Before changing to software v198 I was getting smoked by the GTB controllers. I would have to put 2-3 teeth to make up difference. After 198 there is not as much difference but I would just use v203 with the boost and turbo values at 0.

could someone help me with the math. I'm trying to get an estimate on run time. Does anyone know the avg amp draw of a 13.5 redline? If my math is correct (it's probably not) then using a 5 amp/hr battery with a 30 amp motor would only last 10 minutes in theory only as I know I couldn't possibly run 30 amps continuously around the track

thanks in advance

things to remember about this calculation.

1. if the batt is rated at 5000mah, then you will only get about 4000mah before the pack hits low voltage (3.0v/cell)
2. i can tell you that on one of our layouts, I was averaging 28amps in 1s 13.5
3. the 5000mah is actually 5 amp*hours. not amps per hour (amp/hour) this nuance is important if you ever learn what they use to call factor label method. which I hear they don't teach in school these days

but here is the math

(ah x 3600) / avg Amps = # seconds

or 4 amp/30amps x 60min thanks just trying figure it out so 4amp x 3600/(201watts/7.4v)=8 min 51 sec if my avg amp were 27. So in all, maybe a run time of only 10-12 minutes

out of curiosity, how much run time are the 1/8 scale buggies getting with all that power?

Max, are you trying to run two qualifiers without charging?

If you want to run longer than 10min, just run your nitro instead.

Hello,

What do you think about this setup for a 10.5 on a big track ?

timing boost: 48
turbo boost: 18
4800rpm - 10000rpm
turbo delay: 0.2
turbo ramp 3

On a big track, maybe you can space out rpm for boost and increase the delay, depending on the straight:
try:

s: 35xx
e: 16xxx
delay: 0.4 to 0.6

with this setting, your motor will not be as hot.
