I would drop back on 3-4 on timing & turbo.
We were using the exact setup with duo 1, 10 degrees of motor timing geared at 8.2. Was a rocket and came off at 70d c With a motor fan/heatsink on though.

Xray T3
Tekin RS
Tekin 17.5 with zero timing
FDR: 6.8
Boost: 50
Turbo: 10
End RPM: 7000
Start RPM: 2474
Ramp: 3.0
Delay: 0.4
Drag Brake: 10
Track: roughly 20meters x 60meters, medium traction

The car felt fast but not as fast as others running Black Diamond and tekins. Can someone please give me advice with regards to my setup? The car seems a bit slow coming out of corners and it seems to take a bit of time to reach top speed, it will reach top speed just before I enter a corner so basically by the time it reaches top speed I have to throttle off to go round the corner. It's flowing track so I don't use my brakes, instead I depend on my drag brake to slow me down. Or if I take the drag brake off I usually just roll through the corners. Any help would be appreciated guys.

Also when I first ran the car my initial setup was 5.63 FDR and 12 degree timing on the motor, but it temped at 105C, thought I blew the motor but when it cooled down everything was fine again, hope I didn't do any damage. So then I ran the above setup and final temp was around 75-80C.

Thanks in advance.
i would leave the 12 deg on the motor, this makes it fast on the low speeds!
then like the others said, increase your gearing a little. maybe also increase the end rpm like to 15k.

The track is fast flowing with little to no slow sections. I have my timing boost set to 50 and the turbo boost set to 10. 0 drag brake, throttle profile 3, brake 90, .0 delay? Help me out if you can.

How much longer do you think the RS/ RS Pro will be able to stay on top of the game? This speedo is 2 years old, How long will reprogramming it last until its internals need to be upgraded? I want to buy an RS Pro but I have a feeling not too long from now a new model will be released..

Hello,

My RPM (data logger) are between 10000 and 22000, exept the straight until 34000 on an outdoor asphalt track. How do I set my start and end rpm ? Software is V203. Itīs for an LRP 10.5T motor. Someone a good setup ?
All info welcome.

Default RPM calculator

I wrote this tool some time when V203 came out, then I stopped using cause I can't set my mind up between this calculation and data logger's reading.

I dont have a time to experience any more, maybe I will never get a chance to enter a final value for MIN, MAX RPMs, so it is a unfinished formula but it could give you a basic idea what your motor does on your car, or somebody else can come finished for us.

default value was for RCmadness carpet track with Duo2/10deg timing.

good luck!

I got a new steering servo

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...odID=SPMSH6040

when i steer left to right (a bit fast) it makes my spektrum bind light go out & loose bind for a second or 2,every time. With different brand & model servo it does not do it

I have unpluged the rs pro and just give my sr3000 rx power with a battery pack and problem is solved.

I have also tried running a novak glitch buster cap on rx and it helps but still cuts out. just not as badly.

i have no fans or tranponders pluged at all, & i know this new servo is going to be power hungry but i didnt think it would need more than 3 amp bec?????

Its with 2s li-po.

Anyway I went and got a new & larger Cap 3300uf 16V for the RX, and this fixed it!

Its posible that maybe something was wrong with my other cap.

Run the 4 dot timing insert in the motor. Start RPM 2500, End RPM 9000. Shoot for a rollout around 3.2 inches. Run a couple of minutes and check your temps, then gear accordingly. The X-12 tends to run hot. In 17.5 foam TC on carpet, it ran quite well at around 200 degrees F.

Not all electro drivers are like your statement , and with comments like that there is no wonder no one helped you , there is a set up on tekins site that uses 0 turbo delay on a 17.5 motor maybe this is a bit differant to yours !!!
