I would suggest looking for a frayed signal or ground wire first between the RS and receiver.
Then I would suggest turning the esc on along with the receiver pack before swapping out the receiver. However, make sure you remove the red pin on the esc so that there aren't two sources of voltage at the receiver. As it sits now you are powering the internals of the RS off the receiver pack since you are not turning the esc on. This also means that the voltage cutoff is not active.
What most people do is create a short jumper cable from the receiver to the lead coming off the RS and just cut the red wire. The black and white wires are all you need for the RS to receive a signal.

Thanks Ryan
i have gotten all lights flashing for 2 reasons, onc i forgot the plug the receiver wire back in. or if the battery voltage cutoff is set too high.

What most people do is create a short jumper cable from the receiver to the lead coming off the RS and just cut the red wire. The black and white wires are all you need for the RS to receive a signal.
Just to clarify, I think he is saying use an extension wire from the receiver to the RS and cut the wire in the extension. I wouldn't cut any wires on the RS lead. Although, I don't think you need to unplug the red wire because it won't hurt the receiver. The two voltage sources are being supplied to the receiver in parallel so the max you'll see at the receiver is the input from the receiver pack.

Hello,

Have a few questions.

Is anyone having problems regestering on tekin forum today?
I enter in all the info but then it just goes back to registration page, no errors on page?? I'll try again later, but just wondering.

My issue is with myTekin RS.
I am running 1cell lipo, with novak booster and Tekin 10.5 redline in 12scale.

Hooked it up lastnight and am getting intermitant throttle, I pin it and the leds move like there are supposed to but the motor does not move.
If i squeeze trigger slowly the motor kinda moves but stutters.
Steering servo works fine.
Leds on RS are not blinking in any pattern, i checked the troubleshooting page.

I changed my receiver same problem, tryed another motor and sensor wire, same issue.

Checked all wires, motor wires connected correctly etc. I just used the car 1 week ago with no problems

Reset to factory defaults- same prob
Re-calibrated my DX3R didnt resolve issue.

Am I looking at a return and repair, did i miss something?

thoughts, suggestions??

Thanks in Advance,

Satish

What was your Turbo delay?

I now that the Speedpassion V3 works ad it's best with a high motor timing, but with so much total timing I didn't now.
What was the motor temp?

Default duo2 gearing

do duo2's require different gearing compared to novaks, sp etc?

I've been running a novak 17.5 at 6fdr, last night bolted in a duo2 17.5 and it ran hot and slower. Played around with motor timing(0-40) but still feels lacking compared to my novak.

normal setup
4/12krpm, 0 delay, 3ramp, 50boost, 10 turbo.
Lowering boost, ramp, turbo, widened rpm band help bring the temps down abit, but obviously ran alot softer than the already slow duo2.

I'm hoping I didnt get a friday motor, cos of all the good feedback ive heard from duos/2.

People have been having problems with the Novak booster. It might be the cause of your problem. Try either an RX pack, TQ booster or better still RC Dynamics booster.

Even though LEDS are working correctly? Could it still not work and the LEDS function as per normal?

Duo2's are typically setup different than Novak motors. I have a good setup for a Duo2 17.5 for a large (150x80ft.) asphalt track posted here:
