Thanks. So you have made settings changes and have lost signal afterward as well? Strange thing is that I never did re-calibrate. i just opened the Hotwire up, hit apply setting again. closed it and then everything worked.

You only need to re-calibrate after updating firmware. I have had the ESC not arm in the pits after powering up before putting the body on (Tx right next to the car). After the body is on, moving the Tx away from the car by more than about 3 feet, and the ESC arms. Never had to do anything with Hotwire to get it to arm again. This doesn't happen every time. By the time I walk from the pits to the track it is usually good to go.

Question is, what the hell did you do to that battery pack today? Looked kind of puffy in the picture on Drew's phone.

Odd thing I noticed the last time I tried to re-calibrate. When I went there the modes. Once I got to the final setting of break. My speedo just keeps on beeping. As if it does not read my in a break position. Any clue what is going on.

Drop your lower rpm down as low as it will go. The car will be much smoother.

The first time I used Hotwire 4/V2.03 to update my settings, a little windows dialog box came up saying the settings had been successfully installed on my RS. Since that first time, I have not seen that box come up again. Otherwise, the new settings seem to be there when I check after each update.

Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

It had been done charging for 10 minutes and was just sitting on the table. I heard something pop a few times and didnt think anything about it. A few minutes later something popped again a couple times so I looked around and seen it! It never did catch fire but it was HUGE! If it would have been in a lipo sack I bet it would have caught fire as we would have never seen it!

question:

Is there really a LCV on the spektrum? We all know of the LCV within the ESC, but on the receiver as well? It does not make any mention of this within the spektrum specs...there's mention of a volatge range between 3.5 and 9.6 volts...just wanted to make sure.

Thx!!

You will need a 16 V and 2500 uF (mfd) capacitor. Pay attention to polarity when you connect it.
