Tekin RS ESC sensored

i had couple of fast laps in my first 2 run of 11.1, by the main, I had it down to a 10.779. That was the fastest lap on the track. I actually turned only 10.8 with my 13.5 car. also the motor was more even on power for the entire 8 min run. I think the laptime just dropped .4-.5sec from start to finish. it worked so well, I think every racer at the track went online through out the day to purchase a novak sentry. lol

how funny, i ordered my second one friday night and it says that it is forwarding to manufacture to check stock. i have not gotten a back order email. I should get a discount from novak with all the orders i have forwarded to them. lol

an interesting fact, that does not have anyting to do with the tekin and speedo setting, but on our track, from the data logger we only have 5 turns that I even let off for. kinda funny. I know there are more the 5 turns, but I only let off for 5 turns. most of the track is full throttle

Hey guys, I am reading through this thread in order to get more information about Tekin ESCs as I am about to buy two ESCs.
Is there any other brand of motors other than Tekin that you have used with this ESC that has worked out for you??
Or should I just stick with Tekin motors and do all my advance timing on the ESC and forget about the motor's mechanical timing???
Can someone help me out with this as I am very new to advance timing and the differences between ESC and Motor timing?

Our track previously had no Tekins running in the TC class. Next weekend I expect to see at least 5 cars running Tekin.

Interesting findings today running 13.5 1/12 scale with a Duo 2. Previous fast lap on our track was 8.4 which myself and one other had been able to do a week or so ago. I upped the turbo to max and the turbo to 10 for my first qualifier and ran another 8.4 and a few 8.5s. Temp after that 8 min run was 212*
For the second run, I dropped the boost to 50 and turned the turbo off and ended up running an 8.3, a bunch of 8.4s and my top 20 laps were an average of 8.5. Temp after this run was 120*. And that was with the same rollout as the previous run.
Guess what I'm getting at is that on a small indoor track, turning the boost all the way up and having any turbo just turns the extra timing in to heat. Other surprising fact was that each time I geared down it got faster to the point that I ended up with a 64.5mm roll out on a track with a 66' straight. Before the new software we were gearing around 75mm. The timing on the motor was right in the middle, whatever that is.
Set up:
Throttle profile - 5
Boost - 50
Turbo - 0
Start rpm - 2548
End rpm - 8000
Duo 2 motor timing - one notch + of center
The only bad part about the new software is that I now have a bunch of really big pinion gears that I don't need.

i don't have a before and after. as I said earlier, I ran a practice run with no timing and no turbo and started my setting from there.
first run
timing 50
turbo 10
delay .6
rpm end 7200
rpm start 3500
ended

dropped 1 tooth to get higher rpm on straight and found not drop in rpm on infield section. if we had a way to set exactly start and end, I wanted 3000 - 6700

How much energy are y'all draining in an 8 minute 12th scale 13.5 run with v203? 17.5?
I am using about 3300 mah in my 17.5 and about 4000 from my 13.5. I run at the same track as Yang "Master of ESC programming" Lai. He handed me my butt pretty well today in stock. He was running a Duo 17.5 and I was running a Ballistic. He also had the Sentry and I am waiting on mine.
I gotta give him props though for publishing his "secret sauce". He's definitely one of the good guys, even if he is a lazy butt.
