Sent this to Randy but figured its useful for everyone.

The setup that Yang posted for 13.5 2s is the one that he and I came up with. I drove and told him what it needed. He jacked with it as I had no clue it was available... went to practice with my vegas 200... We didn't have too much time to mess with it but im sure tomorrow when we are actually racing we will be able to find a good setup for a carpet track.

I do think that a narrower gap in the rpm range is more violent but allows for greater speed within a small area like carpet and the wider gap will be more suited for a much larger track such as asphalt. I do not think that the difference in the gap will be really big between setups... maybe 2000 rpms... Turbo should be what you want to get your top end out of.

only seems logical that the majority of timing would be needed somewhere above the midpoint of the practical rpm range of the motor ~15k in our application.. also seems like a curve rather than a linear progression of timing would be better as i cant recall ever seeing power output being linear.. like i said. i might have to buy one of them data loggers by orange..

Tally, I spent a full day with the data logger in two oval cars prior to loading the new Tekin software, and had a lot of interesting data to look at. I believe it made me faster, atleast for the first day.

Randy - Congrats to you and the team for this latest software. I must say I've been using the SPX for some time now and last night the track record was broken by .3 tenths per lap using the Tekin ESC and the new software. Some were dropping times as much as .6 tenths per lap. The shop sold out of them yesterday and guys were scrambling to borrow the speedo's from other racers. If you didn't have it you were packing up and going home as it was truly a beast on the track.

Thanks,
Mark

Ok, I think I solved my problem with saving my RPM settings. It seems I need to click the appropriate boxes more that once, like 2x.

For the start RPM, can I enter my own RPM values or only the RPM values that shows up?

Couple questions for Randy (or anyone else that knows for that matter):

1) What is the relationship (if any) between throttle profile and how the timing boost is applied?

2) Should the turbo boost be an even multiple of the turbo ramp - if using setting 3 (6 deg/10th of a sec) should I be at 6, 12, or 18 on turbo boost?

This is an excellent product, job well done by Tekin.

michael.
