My settings from 12th scale 10.5 at Tamworth today, taken from my post on RCRaceChat. Approx. 30m x 12m track.

Version 203 - Vegas2
Tekin Redline 10.5 - 0 deg - 66mm/rev
SMC 4900 50C LiPo

Sensored LiPo - no cut-off set
Drag Brake 6
Reverse Strength Off
Brake Strength 96
Neutral Width 5
Motor Type BL-FW
Throttle Profile 2
Voltage Cutoff 0
Push Control Off
Timing Boost Max
Rev range - 2821 to 11495
Turbo Boost 5
Timing Delay 0.5 at 2.0 ramp-up

I always kept the top of the rev range high, but lowered the start revs a couple of times to try to get the power to come in less aggressively as there was plenty of it! Same reason for a negative curve on the throttle profile, my car was not the best handling today so I was trying to calm it down a little.

With the settings above I had no problem keeping up with the NiMh cars, in fact was quicker than most in my heat.

Quote from today by SlowerOne:

"Overall a real step forward, and I can see now why the AE BD killed in 13.5 at Vegas! If this is what they had... Thanks Tekin, more power and speed for free!!"

I couldn't say it better myself so I thought I'd just repeat it!

Quite a few drivers visited my laptop today to use my HotWire and every single one was seriously impressed with V203. (They've all registered and downloaded 203 properly by the way.)

3 Ramp
Start: ~5000
End: ~18000

Broke our track record again by about 3 tenths, and the car was super consistent.
what kind of track

If you've gone as low as 10+FDR and still hunting for infield speed there is something definitely off with the setup. Don't forget to make use of physical motor timing also since the new version runs alot cooler.

Not a bad day at the track today. I really wanted to play around with the settings but I honestly had to learn how to drive my car again. This software is ridiculously fast. Instead of working on different settings, I ended up updating other cars and trying to explain how the new software works. I did manage to TQ and drop my best time by 7 seconds. I still have a lot to learn and I'm still blowing corners. The torque is amazing for 17.5. ROAR can't make me run mod, but Tekin just did. Here's what I ran in 17.5 / rubber / carpet. Track is 96x40:

Duo2 timing: 0
Throttle: 3
Boost: 50
Turbo: 10
Delay: 0
Ramp: 2
Drag: 30
End RPM: 12000
Start: 6680
FDR: 5.76

Motor came off at 180 and ran hard all day. I'd like to smooth it out a little more, so I'll be playing with RPMs tomorrow. Great stuff Tekin.

Guys, it seems that there are a few boosters for 1s that aren't handling the load with this latest software update. So far nobody that is running a tx pack is having any issues, just the booster guys. So if you're having radio issues, glitches, slow servos or p/t issues swap to a tx pack and see if that fixes your issue.

Motor has 12 timing.
That's not the problem. I compete with the SPX and that one is also fast in the infield. I have after 10 meters advantage.
Than I run away from the rest faster and faster.

Blackdog,

Don't know if anyone has replied to you yet? You have the start and end RPM's reversed. You need the Start @ 4000rpm and End @ 13000rpm

Can it be that my rpm range is to short?
I have now 7500 - 4900.
As I go 10500 -5000 I think that I will have more power in the infield
I will try it tomorrow.

i know you said you didn't get to play with the settings but if you went to a 90' track would you lower the end rpm?

Not much. I tried a smaller RPM spread with heavier gearing and didn't like it all that much. I ended up dropping about 3 teeth on my pinion from where I started on Friday afternoon. Of course, my Speed Passion stuff should be here sometime in the next week or so, and this setup will be null and void for me.

I think the trickiest part for me will be finding which types of motors like which power band.
