I believe all the programing options are the same... correct?
Very good decision to go TeamTekin.

The Pro and RS are both strong performers, the Pro has extra goodies(fets) to handle faster winds. Either is great for 13.5.

I tried an RS and then an RS Pro back to back last night with a 13.5 in 4wd sedan on carpet. I was doing it to see if there was any difference in brakes. As I was testing I noticed no difference in power or in brakes; push or drag. Both were set up on hotwire with the exact same settings. Just an FYI.

Was that the latest version of the LRP's, the X12's? and was this with or without added timing on the motors?

I disagree and I’ll keep it short:

on my wgt/13.5 1s I ran back to back with exact profiles w/ battery and I was .3-.5 slower with the rs vs. the pro. (I even ran the rs a couple more times to make sure it wasn’t me but the times told the truth plus my motor temps were +11-15 higher. *this was on a 100x60 indoor high bite carpet track

I was a big believer that the difference wouldn’t not be noticeable with the 13.5 1s class and had argued my point.. but I take it all back!!!

This was with an X12... the latest and greatest. The timing was at the Neutral point on the motor. Even with 1.99 or 2.00... the LRPs HATE the Timing Advance. They get hot immediately when you throw timing at them. Heck, with 1.99, I had a 13.5 get up to 180* after 2 laps... but they were some mighty fast laps.

2.03 is a new ball game, but a VERY good one.

It sounds more like timing ramp than turbo ramp from what I've read so far, so on some tracks with the right timing setup you may not even need turbo.

I tried a dedicated receiver pack, and the ESC responded perfectly, so I now have 2 AAA's wired in. (6.1 volts)
I will be trying it on the track tonight, and I'll let you all know how it goes.

The X12 can on the SPX only used till mode 6. It will els be to hot.
With the Tekin you just set the Boost lower and you fly with it.
tread it like a MOD motor. Than is this motor fast.

Why not stick with the receiver pack? Should be smaller and lighter than 2 AAA batteries.

Why not?
It can handle up to a 5T so a 9,5 must be possible.
Maybe smart to ad a cap and a fan.

It will be harder to find a good setup with the V203 with the RPM settings or can you keep it for 1 motor on the same settings on all the track and you only change the Boost and the Turbo?
