works great! curious though...there
is a 199 firmware on the tracks computer
and it allows users to drop turbo delay to 0 (none).

Anybody know where i could get that one?

That's the version that they call the '199 team' at my track. It's impressive.

there are several 199 version and basically v200 is the "fixed" version. as I understand it. the way the thottle works, the way turbo, and timing boost, and the way push works is the same with v199 and v200 vegas. the biggest difference is that v200 does not have GPFs

I have been playing with 199 and vegas200 for several months. they work the same. with the exception that the 199 does go down to 0 delay. but i am running 1.2sec of delay so, really no difference between the 2

GPF = General Protection Fault. Old Windows 3.1 / WIn 95 error message when an application would 'crash' and wreck your WIndows session.

The 199 with 0 delay still isn't a true 0 delay, as much as you guys think or wish it was. Vegas 200 has proven to be faster. If you truly wanted more timing right now all the time you could just add motor timing, more boost.

If you guys are still looking for more performance and/or think you're missing something post your setups, track demensions, motor temps, gearing, etc and I will do my best to help...

The car was awesome down the straight, once you get the RS set up to the sweet spot it is weapon. I had a ball in the finals as normally when you qualify in 7th you sort of stay around that mark but to get 4th was awesome and just wished I had the speed during qualifying

I drove with a Turbo delay from 0,2 but I changed back to 0,3 and the car was a bit faster. You don't see or feel it but you see it in the lap times.
I was using first 5 Boost and 0,2 Turbo delay with the motor timing on 12 (LRP motor)
I changed to 8 Boost to get a bit more top speed and after a couple of laps I changed also the Turbo delay from 0,2 to 0,3 and from that moment the car went faster. with the turbo delay on 0,4 there was no difference. The feeling with the turbo delay on 0.3 was better.
I drove against an other Tekin driver and we tested several Turbo delay's.
When the Boost got higher the Turbo delay went better as it was also higher.
W used 1 car with 1 setup and changed the other one.
At a moment with a lower boost and a lower turbo delay the car accelerated better. This also happened when you geared the car very light and set more Boost and a higher Turbo delay. The setup with the lower Boost field a bit better.
When I would use a Tekin motor I would choose for a lighter gearing lower motor timing and a bit more boost.
But this is because the Tekin runs better than the LRP wile it makes rpm's.

Yes
The LRP is standard on 12 and we may not change the timing. You can only set it higher on a LRP X11 and I don't want more motor timing. I want to lower it but it's not possible.

Nice layout. Almost the same size are were I drive on my races.
I use a 10,5 lipo and i'm geared 7,3FDR.
I have seen a driver with the X12 10,5T but even with a lighter gearing than me his motor went way to hot so I would say gear very light and check your motor temp allot.
Can you set the motor on 0?
If so set it on 0 and the boost 20
Turbo max
Turbo delay 0,3 to 0,4
Gearing i don't now but I now it's just like the Tekin redline motor. very light.
If you keep your motor standard timed set your boost between the 5 and 8.

Randy,

I run on a small/tight track, 24x50 with 6' lanes. The straight is 50' with a 20' sweeper entry coming from a very slow chicane (approximately 60' of full throttle before you let off).

I am running a version of 200 I downloaded off of this site. The minimum Turbo Delay is 0.5. So far, finding the 0.2 version has been like an Easter Egg Hunt for me.

My best lap times have been with the following setup: Car-BMI DB12RR Lipo w/ Fantom 5000mah 40c, Rollout 70.5mm, Gear 41/84, RS [email protected], RS Esc Boost 25d, Turbo 20d, Delay .5sec(my current minimum without the correct software). This produces 138d temperature.

Slight changes in motor timing/ Boost setting bring the temperature up to the 150d mark and get a little boggy.

This track layout is like setting up for the tightest infield spot you've seen for the whole lap, then adding one short blast of speed.

Your insight would be appreciated.

Thanks
