Mike 199 never was a public version. best bet is install 200. I saw you made the trip there. If your free next weekend Easley SC has a event going on also.

Default Radio

I'm thinking of upgrading from my trustworthy super dependable M8 to something better. Some of you guys are having calibration issues with some radios... etc loosing turbo after x mins, no braking ...

Here are my choices of radio:
3PKS
M11
DX3S

To those who owned/still own any of the above, Did/Do you have any issues with it using TEKIN escs?

Thanks

Then ajust gearing and turbo as needed. We all have our thoughts of whats best but thats what I have found best lap times for my smaller tracks. When I run full turbo I feel its a waste with tracks under 120++ long shoot as over 10 turbo you will start fighting turbo boost while in braking poing. Thus having weak feeling brakes. I can set turbo to 10 and hear it peak just when I get to my braking point and still have enough brakes to rip my gear out..LOL
Thanks John. I'll give that a shot.

I went down 1 pinion size before the race so i drove with a lower rollout then anyone else on the track. And still the motor was hot. I used 52mm and the rest was 54-57mm. I did notice that my motor didn't have grunt anymore at the end. Would the magnets get weaker with that tempature or am i still ok with the motor as long as i am not doing that for a longer periode of time? Just curious if i would have to buy a new motor cause of weakend magnets.
Alexander I drive with a FDR of 6,3 on Rucphen wile all others are driving with a LRP motor and SPX on 5,2FDR

You can gear it light.
Lower the Boost.
What is your setup on motor and speedo?

E-mail Randy for the software.
It's the V200 now.

I have not stripped a PRS spur, but I have stripped to plastic cast ones from an off brand.

I thought Rosewood closed. Are they still racing indoors or outdoors now?

Nothing wrong with that. When the spool is in or I feel like offroad I slam on the brakes too.

Good results today with v200 and the epic duo2 17.5

geared around 4.5
motor physical timing don't really know.. about 1/3 of the ring closer to negative
neutral width 10
profile 4
boost 15
turbo max .5 delay

qualified first, lost lead on first lap due to traction

outpulled everyone everywhere, chased down the leader, top 3 fastest laps of anyone including nitro expert. fastest lap of the class by .6 seconds, average .2-.3 for 10 laps.

pin let loose in my ecs driveshaft after 4 of 6 minutes.

never tried another gear ratio. just changed my boost from qual1 to qual2 and picked up around .1 a lap.

motor never got above 135 F after 5 minutes.

VTA was not much different. we do not enforce dynamic tuning, only the motor rules. again.. fastest lap by a decent margin, best average 5, but not average 10. still working on car set up. down the back straight.. it was just NASTY. It really looked like a second gear after 2/3 of the 80 foot straight. Back end was letting loose under power, losing time due to me having to correct the drift, or having to slow down to turn. Still finished 3rd.

I am beginning to like v200.

Want to report back to Randy and give my setup:

After calibrating at 90% epa, then turning back up to 100%, it appears I have turbo the entire race now. My car was VERY fast today, and any speed advantage the guys in blue had before, is CERTAINLY gone now! My car looked a bit like a 13.5 on the faster sections... for those of you on a similar track, I am going to post my setup:

Class: 17.5 brushless Sedan
Track: Very large, fast, and flowing outdoor asphault track with 160+ feet of total straight-away, side and back. 6 minute race giving 19 or so laps with typical fast lap times from the very high 18 seconds to low 19 seconds.
Motor: Trinity Duo 17.5
FDR: 4.74
6 minute temps: ~155 degrees
Bell timing: 0
Boost timing: 30
Turbo timing: MAX
Delay: .5
Profile: 5

i have been using the rs with my dx3s with v199 and then v200 have not had any issues.turbo stays on for the whole race and i have more then enough brakes.calibration is not an issue either.
