Witch motor are you using?
Because i notist that you can gear the LRP X11 10,5T and the Tekin Redline 10,5T a lot lighter. just incredible light.
I used 6,87 FDR boost 23 motor 12 and Turbo on max with a time of 0,5.
Just incredible power.
You will love it.

The curser on the timing boost is at zero, but the value shows "GO". What is going on? i set it to MAX, upload to the esc. close Hotwire and restart hotwire. The curser on the timeing boost will be at zero , but the value shows "GO".

Randy,
(1) Did the usual uninstall, reboot, download hotwire sw, install sw routine.
(2) The result is a "marginal" improvement, but definitely not fixed.
(3) I can now select 0-30 and the hotwire reports the state of the ESC correctly (previously 0-29). Anything above 30, and the Hotwire does not report the correct value within the ESC (potentially very misleading for new-comers).
(4) Here's the testing I performed:
(4a) If I select 31 or above, ApplySettings, change value to 20 (don't apply), select CurrentSettings, NOTHING changes (20 on Hotwire, ESC still above 30 internally).
(4b) If I now shutdown the Hotwire software, and restart, the Hotwire software reports "GO" as the slider header. If I select CurrentSettings, NOTHING changes ("GO" on Hotwire, ESC still above 30 internally).
(4c) If I now select 20 (don't apply), and then select CurrentSettings, NOTHING changes (20 on Hotwire, ESC still above 30 internally).
(4d) If I now ApplySettings (slider still at 20), and select CurrentSettings the correct value is shown. I can change this between 0-30 and the correct value is reported by the Hotwire (ie: Hotwire = ESC internal value).
**** I think the software developers and software testers have a different definition of "fixed" (which is fairly standard across the industry ) ****
(5) A more subtle Hotwire issue. If I change the slider value, then select "CurrentSettings", the text highlights (acknowledging the button press) but nothing is read back from the ESC. Its only subsequent "CurrentSettings" presses that interrogate the ESC. This always happens immediately after the slider is selected (ie: the first "CurrentSettings" select, after a slider change, does nothing).
Cheers

I'm running Novak 17.5 with mechanical timing turned all the way down (per rules) and 30 boost. Gearing is at 3.72 FDR.

I don't have the problem.

Just fantastic.
can you set the Novak at 0?
Because the LRP can't be set on 0. That is standard on 12.
If it's on its lowest on 12 set your boost to max 23. best is 18.

Simply bump the timing on the can to 1 degree and you have 30 The bug(s) in general, don't really affect performance. But alas, don't fret. 199 will finally give us tekin RS drivers an edge (from what I have been reading). HOPEFULLY it will be ready before the weekend.. right Randy?

For the guys waiting on V199. I have been running it for almost 2 weeks now. I'm sure Randy will give a good starting setup once pre-release testing is done but from what I have been running lately here is what I have been running on an medium sized asphalt track.(17.5 and 13.5)
Tekin 17.5
4.3 FDR, 12 motor timing, 13 Boost, MAX turbo.
Tekin 13.5
5.3 FDR, 10 motor timing, 15 Boost, MAX turbo.
It's well worth the wait guys, say bye bye to the SPX on the straight!

My RS Pro shipped with 180 and I upgraded immediately to 198. The Hotwire 3.25 software was so buggy that I unistalled/reinstalled it once just to see if something went wrong, but nothing really changed.
Like everyone else here, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of 199.
