ricky at the west london national i had mine geared at 5.95 with a nosram motor had max boost and motor at std timing....was mega fast.
i found that running the gearing from say 5.2 - 5.9 there was no speed differance just more acceleration and cooler speedo and motor
did a 19 in 9 the week before witch is pretty quick round there on the gp track with that gearing.

tim i think your brake issue is down to the motor mine has no brakes what so ever with my nosram but with a gm its doing endo's lol

How good is this speedo in comparison to a gm 120 or lrp spx stock spec with 9.5er motors?
And does anyone know where I can buy tekin products in germany?
Thanks for your help.

When i drive with a spool i don't have braking problems. enough braking power for me.
And if Tim had done that, I would have gone underneathe him

It would be a lot easier and less costly to do one for the G1 and other upcoming Android phones given that the OS is open source.

i have moved to the far east and i am planning to keep running TC but the class for me has changed from 17.5/rubber to 10.5 rubber at this track. http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ned-korea.html. lucky me. i am wondering how good the tekin 10.5 is compared to duo, orion, speedpassion. most of the guys there run lrp and speed passion equip. i dont want to change cuz the support at tekin is awesone but i still want to compete. my 13.5 was wicked fast in my foam car and i would like to continue using tekin equipment. any idea's because i love the red in my serpent s400 kicking the blue guys butt's. thanks for any help.

I also ran the RS Pro at Reedy till Friday when Randy gave me an RX8 to put in. We did have some temp issues the the RS Pro in Mod so the quick fix was an RX8. We did a case Mod, stood it on it's side, and added a fan to the bottom of the case, and problem solved. also the new software seems to be having a side effect of a cooler motor. been running it at our track since the Reedy in Mod GT with NO Problems..... 2 led' on temp after 6 minutes, and a good bit of rip. 200' straight and big pulls in the infield.

The new software is great, and really provides control over when the second gear punch hits....... will be doing some more testing this thursday

whats a good setup for the RS Pro(Hotwired) with the Redline 17.5 motor. have been reading boost timing is very touchy (too little not enough power, too much destroys the motor) also a starting rollout (or FDR) for a small-med sized track.

Thanks.

Jason was running the Rs Pro in the mod class and does so regularly. 2 caps and a small fan running either a 4.5 or 5.5. He pulls off at 5 led's.

Our 10.5 is right there and better than most. We've had a lot of them tech's for good reason!

Default Brakes

Thanks to those responding about the brakes. I can confirm that:

1. I am running in sensored only mode.
2. The brakes are pants with Novak, Orion and Speed Passion motors.
3. I don't use drag brakes, only manual braking on the trigger set to full strength using the Hotwire software - I'll take you up on the settings check at Bashley though Ricky
4. If I'd have gone wide to take a line that didn't require brakes, Malcolm would indeed have been up the inside of me and no doubt it would have ended in tears The next track we're at has a lot of hairpin type corners and is very narrow so brakes will be an important factor there.

This is running 13.5 motors and I am geared between 4.6 and 4.9 depending on the track layout.

- Tim.

I have the speedpassion motor to but is is not a good motor.
braking is not good with that motor and don't get it to hot.
The motor is not from the quality as that from LRP and Tekin.
I use now a LRP motor. braking goes good with a LRP. tried it.
I hope that i can drive this Saturday. Going to drive with the Tekin.
Didn't get any top speed but with some setup changes i think it will go better.

Going to drive spool again. is better with training as there are some slower drivers on the track.
Don't want to drive them out of the track.
