Looks like right now the best route is to use a small RX pack with the RS switch in the off position when running 1s lipo.

Personally i've found the Roche Prince 13.5 motor having the edge over the tekin so far but i need to play more to see if i can push more from the tekin

Anyway onto my question, a friend mentioned this to me and i noticed it quite a bit today running 10.5. When the speedo is on full boost (30) the breaks seem to be very weak compared to my old Nosram ISTC speedo. He said they found this was the case when they used boost on the GM speedos so i wonder if anyone else found this and if there is anything else that can be done to counter it?

Thanks

We will look into it closer, but there is no technical reason I am aware of that should make the boost effect the brakes at all. Brakes are completely independent of the drive and a fairly simple shorting of the phases.

Default 1.80vs1.89

Can some one email me ver 1.89 [email protected]
Does the 1.89 ver use boost running sensored only mode? As the 1.80 does not use boost in sensored only mode. I have heard several different ppl say 13.5 no motor timing and max boost? Others say 12 deg motor and 22 boost? Does the 1.89 fix the lipo cut problems?

Thanks

The RS proved to be a secret wepon at the Febuary Freeze in 13.5 class!! Rumors in the pits were the Tekin with 189 wasn't fair!! A friend purchased a RS from the hobbyshop after trying everything in practice, but just didn't have the speed. I set him up with 189 at MAX BOOST!! He was in the A-main for late model class!!
I used the RS Pro with a Tekin sensorless 3t motor and had problems trying to keep the front tires on the ground!! I couldn't figure out why my car pushed!!

He also convinced 3 other racers into purchasing one.

We all want to be as fast as Tag.

i wonder how the RS compares to the LRP SPX. I've seen the SPX run, and the hybrid mode really gets the motor winding all the way done the straight. Does the RS have a hybrid timing adjust feature?

Yes, we can adjust timing in both modes.

Anyone know why the combo's cost more then the individual components? For example the 21.5 combo with the RS Pro is $330 on tower but if you buy the Pro and 21.5 separately then its only $314. Am I missing something? Does the combo come with the hotwire or something like that?

Hmm,

That's not right is it? Let me look into that. Generally there's a small discount given to buy both.
