Always run the cap on the RS regardless of what mode you're in brushed or brushless.

hi my motor is 9.5 speed passion It's for carpet track and medium. Which setup do I need for it esc ?

I may go for a RS PRO... but still wondering what kind of motor to go for ...

Thanks Randy, what about running the Schottky diodes on the motor while in brushed mode?

Brushed forward only, use the schottky. Brush mode with reverse, leave the schottky off, or you'll hear a loud bang when you hit reverse...

I just received my new RS Pro today. The software included is version 2.8. After reading this thread I saw that the newest version is 2.9. I am running Windows XP but cannot get a version 2.9 by looking for updates or by removing the software and downloading from the Tekin web site?

Contact Randy Pike at Tekin. He can mail you the latest beta software for your ESC.
