Over the last couple months with all of us playing with 1.89 it just ended up that way. There are two ways to set it up. Go 0 on the can and 0 boost, gear for the infield and boost till you have good strait speed. OR 0 on the can and full boost and gear for the strait. Depending on track layout both ways get you to where you want to be pretty fast.

There is NO better deal in RC then a Tekin RS.

I ran both 17.5 and 10.5 with that setup because I was using the same car for both classes. It worked out fine.

That Duo motor was fast. I now run a TEKIN 17.5 and working on boost settings, rotors, gearing, and software; I am now faster on my local track then what that motor ran!

After reading this thread at the track last night, I dialed up full boost with zero timing on my DUO 13.5, and after a little time with the gearing, it was fast as hell. It felt more ripped, too, which has been my biggest complaint about the ESC in the past. Also, the software fits just fine on a netbook (Eee PC 1000HA 1024x600) screen. Perfect track computer, and cheap too.

Where were you at gearing wise (1/12)? I run 42-88 with 1.70" tires and profile 5, HOLD ON!!

Good deal that's what I want to hear. Now if my wires show up I'll get it finished up.

I was at 5.28 with a rubber tire sedan. Gearing was approximate since it was only practice. I always end up gearing down in races.

I've been using one of these to adjust my Tekin at the track. It's tiny and works great.

It comes down to $299 when you add it to your cart ($50 instant rebate) and free shipping. That's a deal, folks.

Looks like the instant rebate is up to $80 now, so $269.

Nah, that's what brings it down from the original price. They take another $50 off in the card. It's absurd. :-D

I think it was that it wasn't really "plug-and-play" and you couldn't access the key performance features without the Hotwire interface. The software has been improved and it's simply been around long enough now for people to have figured out how to make it shine.
