Thx in advance!
Yes, the RS Pro works nicely in blinky. One of the nice features of the Tekin is that you don't have to change firmware to switch between blinky and boost/turbo modes. The "blinky" profile has been available for several releases, but if you have access to a Hotwire unit, I'd update it to the latest.

Got a issue. In my sons Durango dex 410 w/ LRP 6.5 on a carpet track his speedo hits 185+ and on the same settings on a clay track barely reaches 100. I got his throttle limiter set to 75 and boost at 0. Can using a lot of brakes heat up the rs pro?

The heat is from the extra traction that you get when you run on carpet.
Brakes can be an issue but its usually fade if you have a problem. Are you using one of the pre set TP? if not i would try TP2 and see what that gets you. Also Maybe gearing? where are you on that?

The added temp is from the higher bite. Never use a temp gun on the RS. It won't be accurate. Use the onboard temp indicator:

6 led's and under is fine. If you're planning on more carpet running add a 2nd TT3520 power cap. It will help keep esc temps down.

Default Rs & gen2

Which is a better motor for RS on a TC 13.5 blinky on a small carpet track, gen2 rpm or just the regular Gen2 redline?
Thanks !

Ok went to the carpet track today looks like 4 lights. Didnt have the laptop to bump up his throttle limiter. Im running a 19 pinion 87 spur. Seems fast enough dont want my son to beat me so I might just leave it.

Default Gen 2

I realise this is the speedie thread.. but just wondering what the thoughts are on the Gen 2?

I was about to get a new 17.5 for blinky and was going to get the D3.5...then I seen this one... any thoughts? Does the Gen 2 seem to match it with the current 'prefered' choices of motors going around..?

It will match my speedie if nothing else...

Mr. Randy Pike, I run 13.5 with trimming currently after 8 minutes the speedo indicates 3 LEDs flashing so there is no temperature issue and motor cames out at 70 deg, the speedo is with every parameter MAX is there anyway the speed may give same more punch and top speed since it is far from hot.

The RPM I have set 3000low and top 170000 but I feel lake of power on the start and top speed, do you think changing to 1500 low and 20000 top will go faster or is better to try different gears.
.

Please post your entire esc setup, gearing, car, motor, motor timing, battery, etc.

This post is far too general for me to offer accurate info.

Rob, just click on the 212 setups. Try Hara's setup, but start with a little less turbo and then bump it up if needed. Check temps frequently.
