Timing profile 1 is Blinky mode. The "locked" mode prevents changing out of blinky mode using factory reset or the buttons, and I believe also changes the current Timing Profile to 1 if it's not the current profile.

You can still change other settings like Neutral Width, Brake settings, Throttle Profile, etc.. Just no timing advance, boost, or turbo.

You must uncheck the "spec lockout" box in the hotwire.

The reason, if you uncheck the box and run in C1 mode, and remove all the boost, timing, etc... you can change the curves.... Would that be legal "Blinky Mode"? That is the debt at the track, this is legal... That is why I'm asking here....
No, simply putting the esc boost settings to 0 and 0 won't turn the blinky function on.

For additional mid acceleration, should I?

a) increase boost
b) put a bigger pinion in
c) decrease top rpm no#

T3, 6.65FDR, Ion3 13.5, Boost 40 (5-26k), Turbo 10 (1 ramp 0.2 lag), Motor temps = low, maybe too cold

FDR depend of the track but i think 7.0 will be fine with 50 boost 5xxx/20xxx and turbo 10.

With the endbell timing set to the middle for start

I checked with my pc and it was an option, I'm not sure what was up with his, maybe he had someone else install 223 and he had an older version of hotwire on his pc?

You should not have to boost up a 5T motor that much to get the right speed from it. I'd wager you're gearing is off.

What problem are you referring to? Bearings need to be serviced and or replaced from time to time.

Default intermittent reverse?

So I have a RS pro (v223 FW) that sometimes will not go into reverse. the ESC is set-up with the reverse delay, and the ESC lights will ramp up when trigger is pushed in reverse, but no action from the motor. It is intermittent, sometimes works, sometimes not. I've recalibrated with the same result. I tried the reverse with no delay, and it worked everytime, although I do not want to run it like that. Using airtronics tx/rx (FHSS3)

Any suggestions on what to look for/change?
