The team guys do have a new "interface" look right now.

Can the Tekin RS Esc Add esc timing to Motor timing all the time in sensored mode?

Or is it only at boost / Take off/ Launch?

In sensored only mode the boost setting is added to the motor timing, all the time.

Any luck or truth to that version?

Myself being an oval racer and having the steering input and return speed at 45%, a slower servo would be acceptable.

Josh
Besides the speed you'll want to make shure that the servo still has the holding power that you need in the corners. Lower voltage will lower the torque along with the speed.

To be honest, a booster isn't a big deal and Novak will release one soon. If this single cell thing catches on maybe Tekin will make a booster also.

Default rs timing

i am currently looking to change esc for my 17.5 1/12 car. i have narrowed it down between 2 esc. my rs questions are this.

1. how much timing does the esc add in just the different profiles?

2. i am assuming that timming boost is over the profile time? if so how what is the range of timing 0* to 50*???

3. i might be missing it but the screen shots i have seen does it list out the timing? i have been told 50* max so motor, esc, and boost need to be added?

4. can you save different proflies in the esc or computer for quick change or is it a reset each time?

thanks for your input and time
i am sure i will have more question.

The different profiles are for different throttle response curves. No changes in timing there, timing is independent of the profiles.

In sensor mode, you can add up to 30 degrees of timing advance above what you can get at the endbell of the motor. I mmight be mistaken about this part, but I believe that in sensorless mode you can also add up to 30 degrees of timiing, but you don't get anything from the endbell in that mode, sinice the RS ignores the motor sensors in that mode.

THe timing you add in sensor mode is listed in degrees, the timing you add in sensorless mode is listed as a percentage. You asdd the endbell and boost to get total timiing. There is some extra depending on how your particular motor reads the sensors. In other words, the "zero" mark on the can is usually going to be something other than zero. Dpends on the motor.

Not yet, that is a feature that is coming.

thank you for that info.

next question is:
there is no timing advance in the profiles? exmple-motor 0* but is 12* plus esc 0* plus boost 0* then equals 12*

i was told but was wondering - that there is a progressive timing in some profiles. example 5* start and as rpm go up so does timing 30*(not exact #'s)

i look forward to more info.

motor 0 boost 0 but timing is 15fromout the esc when i'm rihgt.
So boost on 30 and motor on 0 than you have 45 in total.
