When I install hotwire if I choose the low-res install will it install it without the annoying red/black graphical layout and use more of a windows standard layout?

Yeah, I always choose the express install. I'm not fond of that superfluous junk in the full install either.

Default 223 software settings

Hi,

Ive loaded the new software on to my speedo and it seems to work fine. I have a couple of questions about the settings tho.

+ Im assuming the 'curves' heading is the same as throttle profile on the 212?
+ What is the active braking, on/off option?
+ Is the brake and throttle minimum the same as on the 212 as the throttle minimum now only goes up to 10 (max)?

I run 13.5 boosted in a 1/10th touring car on med/large carpet tracks,

my settings are-

rpm 5000-20,000
boost 50
turbo 10
ramp 2.0
power profile 3
delay 0.02
brake strength 80
neutral width 5
brake minimum 10
throttle minimum 10

Do these all seem fine with the new 223 software?

It looks fine assuming your motor timing is near 0.

Active brake is a brake "adder" and simply makes the brakes stronger. The team didn't ask for it but some of our customers did. So best of both worlds.

Correct.

It is an ON/OFF setting that gives the same brakes 212 had for boosted TC setups that need strong "panic" brakes at the end of the straightaway.

They are still the same adjustment, but the scale is slightly different and it defaults at 3.

turbo 10

Do you like your throttle and brake coming on hard when you barely touch the throttle?

Do these all seem fine with the new 223 software?

No i dont need the brakes and throttle to be that agressive on the trigger. Default throttle and brake minimum on the 212 was ten, does that mean to get the same on 223 i need to set them at 3?

If you had 10 before leave the 223 defaulted.

nice work on 223... brakes seem crazy good, and the car really planted... I typically ran 212 with about 70% brakes on my remote and 100% on the speed control. Even with 100% on the remote the car didnt seem to lock up at all and I was able to carve out a couple tenths because of the consistency getting off the straight.... didnt run the super stock TC yet, but cant wait to see how the new version works for that.

I ended up bumping up my throttle profile from 2 to 3, and found it ended up having about the same feeling as 2 had with 212.

with all this talk about making 222 and 223 smoother (for stock motors i assume), are there any benefits when using mod motors?

Default 223

Hi,

Another quick question about the software, why is the neutral width set at 58 default, that is a massive deadband. On 212 everyone used to run at 10 or even 5? (Im running a 13.5 boosted touring car)
