Any advice?
It might overvoltage but fans are only a couple bucks, and they run extra-strong when connected straight to the battery.

I've also seen this happen with a bad connection at the capacitor.

I would first check you solder tabs on the speedo and motor as a small joint between 2 phases could be hidden. Also I once had a bit of solder between 2 of the posts on the sensor board on the motor. Try all these sugestions and in not Randy will be sure to work it out with you online.
Good luck mate.

O.K I know this has been answered on a previous page but for the life of me I can't find it.

I am putting my rs in my 12th scale, I am using an LVBoost for the reciever. when I plug in the battery there is no sound and I have the first ,second ,sixth and seventh light flashing. I do have the motor set to brushless no reverse and the cut off a 1s and board is set to sensored. What is it I am supposed to do to fix this?

You have tried it with 2s pack or reciver pack ? If the RS isn't getting the correct voltage for some reason it wont make a sound and motor won't move. I scratched my head with this issue when I first run 1s but the booster was the problem. In the end I started using a 6.6v reciver pack to be sure.

Not totally. I'd advise following the advice others have posted on setting it up in a 2s lipo, motor etc and negate the voltage booster to rule it out.

When I got my RSPro I upgraded it to 203 straight away. When I tried to use it it wouldnt work. I then took it back to (factory), tuend it all on, setup the throttle etc. then I upgraded it again and all was ok. If you find it isnt working still try this, update the firmware, then back it off to the original factory firmware, then once more upgrade it. Make sure once back to factory you turn it all on etc. This may just be a glitch in the program so try that also.

Since then I have had no issue whatsoever with my Tekin RS Pro, been going strong for over a year now with no problems. Just bought a second hand RS as well as I love these speedo's.

Harry, you're assuming your booster is putting out enough power, which from the sounds of it, it is not.

Grab a 2s pack and power up the esc. If it works, then your booster is shot.

THIS MUST BE DONE FIRST!

Some time back in this thread, a wiring diagram was posted showing how to wire the receiver pack into the speedo, and not through the receiver. This means that the speedo voltage regulator (rated at 3S input, 6v output) is doing all the work, and the speedo is seeing a continuous voltage with (almost) no current restriction.

I and friends have adopted this and we have had the best stability in set-up ever, and no worries about the receivers or servos. You can equally put the booster into the same circuit, but all the boosters seem to have issues, especially when you are using digital servos.

Not unsuprisingly, I followed advice Randy gave me on this, and it has worked so well I would recommend everyone adopt it. Two tips - make absolutely sure you wire the receiver pack the right way round as per the diagram, otherwise nothing happens when you switch it on, and always unplug the receiver pack during storage so that there is no chance it can discharge.

I hope that helps some of you who are trying to make your electronics work when using 1S packs.
